The amazing thing in this draft is that Pioli kind of changed his strategy from last year. Last year we drafted team captains with zero character issues.

This year, though, we drafted two guys with questionable characters, a semi reerun and a QB in the 5th round.

Pioli is flexible. Perhaps he trusts that Haley will set any guy with character issue straight.

So the Chiefs draft started out O and then turned D. Or is it a balanced draft?

I think in all seriousness you build a core of leaders and have more success with guys who have issues. The locker room takes care of it. This draft has a lot of talent for us.

There are still a couple team captains and/or co-captains in this draft though.

But, I agree.. this is a different draft. I think he DOES trust his locker room more now.
