I'll grant that Alex Smith is probably not the answer for our woes, but I am pretty confident that there isn't a QB in the draft that would fill the bill either.

I'm pretty confident that one of the remaining QBs would be a better risk to take than a C no one expected to be drafted or Knile Davis in the 3rd.

The moment they drafted that TE, it became clear that that was the plan all along.

But neither of them is going to lead this team....

Is that what's available? Raiders took Hayden a long time ago

What is the last draft class that produced ZERO good starting QBs that can lead a team, and not require everybody else on the team to make his ass look good?

You have to go back pretty far. Even 2010 had Sam Bradford, who is much better than Alex.

You don't know that.

Matt Barkley was still available in the 3rd with our comp pick. Barkley would have been drafted top 10 last year.

There are still 3 QBs left on the board that many think have the tools to be something in the NFL with a little tutelage.

But hey... lets just write them off entirely because we need a broke dick RB that hasn't been healthy since he was 16 and a C who isn't worth anyones time to write something on him.
