It was a noise violation ticket ROFLROFLROFL

Apparently he was cited for a noise violation and that's where the comedy ensued.

Dude's momma said in legal documents that, (paraphrasing) "He's a good kid, he just can't read."

D'oh.

Here's a tidbit from an Ole Miss fan site.

Jerrell Powe has been a myth in Rebel circles for three years. His legend has taken on fantastically large, Paul Bunyan-esque proportions. If the legends be indeed true, he once ate a live bear because he thought it was Casey Dick and even scared Kobayashi away from a hushpuppies eating contest. I've also heard that his stat line against Memphis will be 16 tackles, 13 sacks, 4 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 124 rushing yards, 6/6 for 300 yards passing, 8 touchdowns, and three injury causing tackles. To many of us, all of our wildest hopes and aspirations for this young man are finally beginning to take form.

Apparently, Powe has pretty bad dyslexia... I don't imagine he is the brightest guy... but his difficulty with reading might be a separate issue.

Do you know what dyslexia is?

Powe could become an effective run-stopping, two-gap defensive tackle or possibly a 3-4 nose tackle due to his tremendous size and lower body strength. Usually requires a double team in the running game. Does more than just eat space, he can penetrate and also make some plays outside the box. Can push the pocket with his bull rush but needs to polish up his technique and moves. Like many other bid-bodied DT's, needs to watch his conditioning level. Gets plays off and becomes less dominant against the run later in games. Powe could entice a team to select him as high as the second round.

He got a noise violation ticket?

What, after he had a night of eating Taco Bell and drinking PBR?

Powe is a fan favorite from before we ever got him.

There will be so much humor to come from him in the next few months/years.

yes, do you??? It's a learning disability (specifically dealing with language skills) that is INDEPENDENT of intelligence...

So, just because he may have serious difficulty reading.. it doesn't necessarily reflect his intelligence. (but as I said, I don't think he is going to be a genious regardless...)
