Thats the thing, I think Minter can be pretty good in coverage. He's kind of become my man crush in this years draft on the defenseive side.

No, because some of these teams are ****ing stupid, they already have a starter. If someone like Wilson is around, he'll get picked. to sit behind said starter.

Honestly, he'd be Brandon Weeden bad. Weeden is just an absolute shit decisionmaker. If there's a bad decision to be made, by God he's going to make it.

There are different forms of bad. Gabberts happy feet, Ponder's shit arm, Sanchez being firmly buried into his own head, Cassel's inability to ever do anything well, ever. Weeden has a ton of tools, he just hasn't seen a bad decision yet that he didn't love.

Geno hasn't really had to make a lot of reads or snap decisions over the last couple of years. Ultimately, it may take him some time to figure out how to do that. I certainly think he will and be a great NFL quarterback.

But if he isn't great, it will be his decisionmaking that is his undoing. It won't be courage or a weak arm or bad mechanics or poor accuracy. He has those things covered. But if he can't transition away from the spread, he may end up the turnover machine that Cleveland has.

That's the only flag for Geno and honestly, it doesn't concern me a bit, in part because of his interviews and in part because of his success under White prior to Holgerson.

Every other 'wart' is just trolls looking to rile everyone up. He has every other thing you could ask for in a QB.

Another quality post that makes me happy to be "on the dark side"!!

Sweet. I'll have to watch some film.

If 4 teams go QB in the first, Wilson will be long gone.

I think you could see six teams go QB in the first round.

O.city 12-18-2012 04:37 PM

Cleveland is taking another QB, McKenzie isn't stupid and they can say whatever, they're taking a QB.

You think the Jets are rolling out Greg Mcylwhatever out there?

I don't have hate for Berry. I like the guy, but I think he was a product of a Monte Kiffin defense where his athleticism allowed him to freelance a ton and put up inflated numbers. He hasn't been very good in pass protection and gets lost in a lot of plays. He's not playing up to his pre-draft hype or draft position.

I have hate for the pick, especially when there were a metric shit ton of safeties in that draft of quality and many of them have substantially outplayed Berry so far. (I really liked Morgan Burnett and TJ Ward that draft and both are, at this point, better than Berry.)

Taking a strong safety with the fifth overall pick was just as deranged as taking a 34 five tech end with the third overall pick in Jackson.

Minter and Skov are your guys then.

I really like Skov a lot and think he'd be balls next to DJ.

So they are gonna give up on Weeden after 1 year with no WR's and they're actually playing well as of the last month? Doesn't make sense.

If KC, JAC, BUF and CLE all pick QB's, then that's Geno, Barkley, Glennon and Wilson off the board.

So Bray would be their pick? Or the midge from Georgia? In the first round?!

He reminds me alot of a better Larry Foote.

I think he actually has Timmons type upside.

I agree. Taking a SS at 5th overall was a poor decision.

Play Berry at FS with Pollard at SS and it's a much different discussion.

Which gets back to where we always end up - Pioli is a goddamn moron.

Considering that Weeden is 30 and has been shit, and they have a whole new FO in place, yeah, he's done.

And you don't think the Jets are taking a QB?
