UKjr gets swept by the Quatz and the 'Gerz in both sports. Not good for you. You have a better chance at looking forward to the '11-'12 bball season.

I'm trying hard to spin it lol

They'll both get their chance vs Nebraska very soon.

Also I believe MU has Oklahoma and KSU has Texas.

Multiple chances to achieve what Kansas has already achieved this season.

As bad as TG has looked at times this year Mangino never came close to beating a ranked team his first season.

Can he take KU to a bowl in just his second season like Mangino did? That will have to wait to be seen.

But in my opinion TG is getting a harshly unfair treatment by most KU fans.

Texas will likely be unranked when they come to Manhattan. Just my opinion.

Agree that Turner Gill is getting unfair treatment. It's pretty obvious that GT had no business being ranked this year, though. Perhaps the harping on that is tongue in cheek though, so it's all in good fun.

Kansas Basketball has a winning record against every Big 12 team in KU AWAY GAMES...

Quite an amazing achievement.

By far the most lopsided of all those records being Kansas' record of 73-44 at Bramlage.

I agree that the coaching for GT was very odd. It's pretty much the only game I've really watched wire to wire without interruption.

However they played in the BCS last season and have many nfl ready players on their team.

The folks on Kusports.com said they wouldn't be surprised if Baylor won the South. You can't make this shit up.

Yes, I think it's a good idea that we start comparing the posters of our respective fan boards. ROFL

On that note Baylor will going to their first bowl game ever this season. I'm 100% confident in that and I think they have a good chance beating Texas.

Griffin has already passed for 1,300 yards, 11 tds and only 2 ints... he's pretty good

Yeah, beating a team that has since proven themselves to be a total fraud is similar to beating Oklahoma or Nebraska.

He did that against KU in the first half.

Had almost 1/3 of that total passing yardage in last Saturday's game. In three quarters. The last Baylor drive in the 4th quarter lasted over 10 minutes.

Congrats!

Honestly, I was afraid of that. I won't say that's the case just yet. The guy may need some more time to get some of his recruits. But it is starting to look that way. :banghead:

KANSAS FOOTBALL GAME NO. 6 VS. KANSAS STATE

Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, 6:30 p.m.. (Central) Memorial Stadium (50,271), Lawrence, Kan.

QUICKLY -- Kansas (2-3 overall, 0-1 Big 12) will host Kansas State (4-1, 1-1) Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in a game televised nationally on FSN. KU is appearing on FSN for the third time in six games this season and is making its 22nd straight television appearance.
• KU has won three of the last four matchups against KSU.
• KU has won three straight at home against Kansas State.
• KU has lost eight straight Big 12 games dating back to a 41-36 win against Iowa State Oct. 10, 2009.
• KU has not won or lost consecutive games this season (lost last game at Baylor).
• KU is 2-1 at home this season and has won two in a row at Memorial Stadium.
• KU is looking to avoid an 0-2 start in Big 12 play and the last time KU was 0-2 in conference play was 2006.

100TH CONSECUTIVE MEETING -- Thursday’s game will mark the 100th consecutive meeting between Kansas and Kansas State. That ranks as the fourth-longest uninterrupted series in the nation behind Kansas-Nebraska (104), Minnesota-Wisconsin (103) and Clemson-South Carolina (101). The teams have met every year beginning in 1911. The schools played each other eight straight years from 1902-1909 before not playing in 1910.

KU-KANSAS STATE SERIES -- Kansas and Kansas State will be playing for the 108th time, including the 100th consecutive year. Kansas leads the series 65-37-5, including a 37-15-2 advantage in games played at Lawrence. KU has won four of the last six, including three of the last four. However, Kansas State won the last matchup - 17-10 at Manhattan last year. The Jayhawks have won three straight at home since KSU’s last victory here in 2002.

KU-KANSAS STATE LAST TIME -- QB Todd Reesing threw for 241 yards, but committed three turnovers as Kansas fell 17-10 at Manhattan, Nov. 7, 2009. After a scoreless first quarter, Kansas State struck first with a 47-yard field goal. Kansas responded with a 17-yard pass from Reesing to Dezmon Briscoe before KSU scored on a 31-yard touchdown pass with 20 seconds left in the second quarter to take a 10-7 lead into the break. KSU upped the margin to 17-7 with a touchdown run early in the third. Kansas added a 46-yard Jacob Branstetter field goal with 5:20 left in the game for the final scoring. KSU produced 332 yards, including 266 rushing and just 66 passing, while Kansas added 301 yards with 241 passing and 60 rushing.

KU-KANSAS STATE LAST TIME IN LAWRENCE -- Jake Sharp ran for a career-high 181 yards and a school-record tying four touchdowns, while adding five receptions for 76 more yards to lead Kansas to a 52-21 victory against Kansas State in Lawrence Nov. 1, 2009. The win was the third straight in the series for Kansas and the 31-point victory margin was the widest in a KU victory against the Wildcats since 1985. Additionally, KU’s 52 points were its most against KSU since a 55-0 victory in 1947. The Jayhawks led 31-0 at halftime. KU rushed for 280 yards and had 469 yards of total offense, while Kansas State put up 355 yards of total offense.

Saulbadguy 10-12-2010 09:12 AM

There are quite a few PowerTards claiming that KSU will win comfortably. I'm not seeing it. These are 2 bad football teams, anything can and will happen.

IMO.
