Offenses match up against defenses, and it's a team sport, so players depend on each other. What's a great WR worth if he has a terrible QB, for example?

Then you have lots of rotations going on. There are more than 2 CBs quite often. There is the question of schemes. Situational variables. Heart. Question marks of untested players...who could break out? Consistency. Rookies.

Writing up a comprehensive comparison on each position of the two teams is too much like work, and I don't see the point. Why don't YOU do it?

I like this guy, even though he might like the wrong team.

Really...? Have you actually been READING the posts on this site? Aside from the ones who are talking shit to you, which is just generic message board m.o., do you really see all of us marking this one down already? Have you not heard us talk about all the issues with this team?

You can't look at posts at trollers as proper gauge of our confidence. Even if you are trying to be reasonable(which you have IMO), you are still trolling. Especially when a lot of your fellow Bills fans aren't being reasonable.

The Chiefs are better then the Bills. Doesn't matter about the schedule last season or that game. Plenty of good teams play tight games with bad teams. If the Bills had our schedule I don't think they get the same result. That being said, you could very easily win Sunday.

I think most non-Chiefs and non-Bills fans would agree KC should be the favorite on a neutral site, and this site isn't a neutral site at all.

Not exactly straight either.

I agree with most of this, except the part of me trolling. I came here because my team is playing yours this week. I'm straight-up the whole way and not out to fck with anyone, even though I may slap back a bit. What are these boards for, after all? I should be considered a guest, not a troll if my attitude is in the right place. I could just as easily have been a Chiefs fan if I were born in Kansas City. How's this? "GO AMERICA!!!"

I can definitely see the Chiefs being favored in Vegas, especially in Arrowhead. I make wagers every week though my Dad, who lives in Vegas...have been doing that for years, so I understand these things. I try not to bet on Bills games either way, but I'm considering taking the Bills with the six points this week. I think it'll be close.

I agree with you. I kinda meant trolling in the sense of this boards view of you, not your intent. I was considering taking that out of the post. Like I said, I think if you look at other threads where we aren't going at Bills fans, there isn't a lot of chicken counting going on.

To be honest, you are getting treated better then a lot of members of this board do.

Thanks. Yeah, I really don't get some people on message boards, and it happens everywhere. Ever read the comments on Youtube? A lot of people seem pretty angry these days in general. I guess forums are a convenient way for the frustrated to lash out sometimes. I just let it roll off my back anymore. It's just entertainment and an exchange of ideas.

Anyway, what I really want is a clean game. That's the most important thing, along with nobody getting hurt. The last thing we need is either side crying about a bad penalty deciding the game after it's over, too. I hate that. Now is the time of year for all teams fans to be at their peak of homerism, especially this year after the uncertainty of the lockout and everything.

NJChiefsFan 09-07-2011 07:46 PM

I started posting on sports boards about 8 years ago, and at first I avoided boards like this, because even though I enjoyed most of the humor, I didn't want to sift through the crap. I was, and still am, on boards with more monitoring, but is slower. At this point though, I prefer the high traffic and all the extra stuff has grown on me, and honestly, reminds me a lot of the NYC area way of things.

I kinda have a feeling its going to be an ugly game. First game of the season, literally anything can happen. Predicting it is such a crap-shoot. Just a fun time of year for all fans.

the meltdown and threads on this board will be hilarious if we lose to this team.

can't wait

Thanks, buddy. That's the spirit. I like people that like me generally.

We win at home courtesy of the 12th man.

I see this matchup as pretty even, but a very important game. It's very important to win this first game and get off on the right foot like we did last year. It was a shot in the arm for our team last year. It's just as important this year. My fingers are crossed. I have not seen what Haley's plan is yet, and hope there is some substance to it.

God. I don't think I'll even lurk here for at least 4 days if we lose. Nothing makes you feel shittier about a Chiefs loss than CP.

I wont have to worry about it. If KC loses (which they won't) I have to leave for 30 days. I have a bet with RedThat.

On the other hand, when KC wins.....bye bye RedThat for 30 days.
