The Chicago Bulls announce that Derrick Rose will miss the rest of the season. Had knee surgery this morning.

Sad news for D-Rose, he just can't seem to catch a break. Hopefully he can come back and have a good rest of his career. Not looking good though

Kobe signs a 2 year $48 million dollar extension

what do you do if you're Chicago

can't keep running out a team of role players you expected to compliment your injured star. When do they blow it up and let guys like Deng, Boozer, etc go?

I would expect Deng to get moved first and I bet the Bulls are really kicking themselves for letting Nate Robinson go, which was a stupid move regardless of Rose's current injury.

Wow, "selfish" doesn't even begin to describe Kobe. The Lakers can now kiss their vaunted 2014 plan goodbye thanks to that contract.

Wut? They can still sign 1 or 2 max deal players if they want to.

From what I've read, they only technically have room for one max contract. But they have $35 mil tied up in Kobe, Nash, Young, and Sacre next year with only $25 mil left to fill out the rest of the roster.
