Rodgers got sacked 34 times in his first season as a starter and 50 times in his second season. I'd say he turned out okay.

A Franchise QB is a guy that leads a team to successive winning seasons and wins in the playoffs.

QB's that do more than that, like win multiple seasons and Super Bowls, are Hall of Fame QB's.

Alex is a franchise qb. He's a stable qb who's gonna do what you ask and not **** up. He's not elite obviously and depends on his surrounding cast more than those guys but it is what it is.

Because he is a liability and the Chiefs have to win with a gimmicky dunk and dunk offense that has to work around his limitations as a downfield passer.

Generally franchise QB's are able to throw the ball downfield consistently.

Here's the only problem with your argument, Dane, and that is Franchise QB's dont get benched/cut/traded until the very twilight of their careers.

Montana to KC, Manning to Denver, etc.

Alex was eventually benched in favor of Kapernick who is NOT a franchise QB and eventually traded to KC.

He's a good QB, but he has his flaws...a franchise QB, however, he is not.
