I hate the ****ing yankme's.

Chiefspants 10-13-2017 09:28 PM

You see that, Yanks? There's no need to sign Eric Hosmer.

siberian khatru 10-13-2017 09:29 PM

That was a Brett vs Gossage-level blast

tk13 10-13-2017 09:29 PM

Bird looks good. They don't need Hosmer.

Really though, this whole stretching your pitching staff way out beyond their normal limits seems to always be a shaky proposition. Giles will probably get it done but it'll take over 35 pitches.

ping2000 10-13-2017 09:30 PM

Yea! New York losing is good for the planet!

penbrook 10-13-2017 09:30 PM

Giles slider is unhittable

Giles looks like Jason Statham.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3561731b14.jpg

That short LF in Houston is so ... slow pitch. Gonzales made a great play to nail Bird at the plate, but it was like he threw from 50 feet beyond SS.

I feel like reliever usage is starting to swing too far the other way... Too reliant on stretching guys out past normal workload. Not everyone is Andrew Miller.

Also wonder how long it will be before starters stop being used for middle innings. Bad track record this postseason.

That's a pretty major deal. Must be in real bad shape to not even chance leaving him on the roster to play in later games.

Bird got a shitty lead. It was 3-2 and two outs. Also he just had ankle surgery two months ago. It took a perfect throw to get him.

Bird is a mainstay if he can stay healthy. The Yanks don’t need hosmer. They have a shit load more of talent coming up from the minors next year. This is just the beginning

I've never believed the Yankees were even interested in Hosmer.

I thought Bird got a decent jump, but LF there can be played like LF in Boston. As a baserunner be prepared to play station to station on balls hit to LF. As an OF'er, play shallow because just about everything over your head will be a HR or hit high off the wall.

Flawless execution by the Stros

Yeah, this was my somewhat bitter post about the park while the Royals were losing their series a couple years ago..... and another ball just hit the roof.

The park is reeruned. It is mentally ****ing disabled. It has a hill in center field, Alex Smith could throw it from home plate to the wall in left, but you can hit it 435 feet to center for a long out... there's concrete just above the wall in places in left, making it difficult to figure out if it's actually a home run. A ball hit the roof. No one even knows where Cain's home run went yesterday.
