If Sherron Collins was our pg today we lose. Just like the UNI game where he went 4-15 from the floor while our front court scored at will shooting over 60%.
This was a great example of Bill learning from the past ad adjusting. When wiggins and selden took awful deep shots from the sdeline when it got tight with 9 or so to go, he went crazy on the sideline and yelled at them. No more outside shots the way home and we pounded them inside. |

Hey rusty. No bullshit. I'm ****ing sorry bud. Every fan should wish for a healthy team, healthy opponent. I'm pulling for the clones.
|
Frankamp and traylor. ****ing hell the future is bright. Finally traylor showed the athleticism and Conner showed the skill that made me think that we will be contenders years after wiggins and embiid are in the league.

Right now Nadiir Tharpe thinks he is the biggest piece of shit on the planet. And you know what? He is. When you're given the privilege to play ball with the greatest college program in the history of sport you better show up…otherwise you get embarrassed. Self is going to give him another chance but if he plays like this is some school yard bullshit again he won't hesitate to put white boy in and just end it. This is beyond politics and race. This is Kansas Basketball. You come to play for us you better know what the **** you got yourself into. Tharpe is a loser right now. Hopefully he's laying in bed right now realizing how worthless he is when it comes to the legacy that is KU. When he understands he can be great is when things change. That is when we win. That is what it takes to be immortal. RCJHK... |
Okay what did Wickedson do now?

Well perry ellis already knows he is the worse black player to ever play at kansas. Prison flopper said so.

Before everyone goes nuts about our path to the elite 8, how do you feel about our game tomorrow?

IF Kansas comes out and plays like they are capable of, it "should" be a 10-15 point win... |

A lot of the media thinks Embiid isn't coming back this year no matter what. I hope he does ugh. We'd need him the further we advance obviously.

I also know you made your stupid statement when Embiid was still healthy. Nobody is going to give you props. |

I'm not the constant whining gash in KU threads. That's your role. And why so few KU fans on this board give your opinion any weight.

Reerun furiously masturbating to KU loss.

Time to reload. We'll be back next year, like we always are.

It sucks. But, it is what it is. When Embiid went down, we were going to be lucky to get through the 1st weekend. |

I wonder how many non seniors we lose. Wiggins is gone, I assume Embiid also. Anybody else?

I said this because there sure was an awful lot of confidence from KU fans about this game, and I don't know why. We were -5 favorites in KenPom and frankly, our guard play is a disgrace. Stanford looked like a mirror image of us: lot of size and zero outside shooting or ballhandling. It was an ugly game where the slightly less ugly team would win. It was nice to see Frankamp ride the pine for most of the 2nd half. It's truly befuddling Self can't recruit a PG to Kansas of all places. |

Perry is a good player against bad teams, and struggles vs decent ones. Unless you can disprove that statistically. The problem is, we don't get to play TCU and Northwest Weber State Wesleyan as the tourney toughens. |

I was just watching Ridiculousness. They were showing dudes making trick shots meanwhile this team can't make layups.
|
They had good post defenders with size. Doesn't totally surprise me they challenged so many shots inside, but what did is that our outside shooting (several open looks by the way) was just so atrocious the last month. Outside of Frankamp the team went 1-26 from deep this tourney. That's hard to even TRY to do.

Some Perspective
For all the people that want to bash the Kansas Jayhawks because they hate KU, or for all the KU fans that are pissed at Bill Self and the players, READ THIS: Here is what you must be forgetting. Bill Self lost all 5 starters from last year.
58% off all scholarship players this year were Freshmen. Yes. 7 out of 12 players were Freshmen. Mason, Frankamp, Selden, Lucas, Greene, Wiggins, and Embiid were all Freshmen. Ellis, Traylor and White were only Sophomores, and they barely played last year. Black, who is a Senior, was in his "freshman" year in Self's offensive and defensive systems. Only 1 player had significant playing time under Self, and that was Tharpe. Just think about that. 7 Freshmen, and 3 Sophomores, a first year Senior, and a Junior, replaced all 5 starters from the year before, played the toughest schedule anyone can remember, won the statistically toughest league in college basketball, and gained a #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Was this loss disappointing? Yes. Was this season a disappointment? HELL NO. This young team played a non-con schedule that was unreal, played a conference schedule that saw them play ranked team after ranked team, and they won the league. I wish we could have won today, but given all the info I just posted, I am proud of this team, and proud to be a Jayhawk. If you think this team underachieved, that is your problem. Rock Chalk. |
Thanks for spamming 3 different threads with your excuses.
|
Good season boys.

24 points, 9 rebounds against Duke Nearly a double double against Colorado who was 9-1 and before they lost their best player 21 points, 9 rebounds against New Mexico 22 points, 11 rebounds against Oklahoma 18 points against Baylor 20 points against Iowa State 14 points, 10 rebounds against Baylor 19 points, 11 rebounds against KSU in Manhattan (a place where most teams lost this year) 30 points against ISU in the Big 12 tournament 14 points, 13 rebounds in our first NCAA tourney game Your statement is just plain false. Now if you want to make the case that he is a little inconsistent it would be accurate. Of course, one could then make the argument that he is open a lot of times and the guards just don't get the ball to him. He is a good scorer. Just gotta get more consistent. Perry is still not a good defender but I did see improvement this year, especially late in the season. |

Cliff Alexander seen in a walking boot, has a “sprained ankle”
JULY 8, 2014 BY @ROCKCHALKBLOG LEAVE A COMMENT 7 SHARES Share on Facebook Tweet on Twitter Bill Self is hosting a team barbecue poolside at his house tonight. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BsEQR_1IAAAcNwh.jpg First thing you may notice is that Bill Self has an awesome house. Second, you may notice is that Cliff Alexander (on the left) is wearing a walking boot on his right foot. The picture was originally posted on Frank Mason’s instagram page, but it is now deleted. According to Gary Bedore of the Lawrence Journal-World, Alexander has a sprained ankle:

Cliff Alexander sprained his right ankle and has a boot. No surgery or anything but foot immobilized a few weeks self said
— Gary Bedore (@GaryBedore) July 9, 2014
Alexander tweeted out that he is “good.” Cliff Alexander is a top three incoming recruit at Kansas and is expected to fill Joel Embiid’s hole in the starting lineup. The McDonald’s All American injured his hand in the April McDonald’s All American Slam Dunk contest earlier this year. Despite the injury, he still played in the All American game. Many basketball players wear walking boots from time to time. Some times they are used as precautionary measures. Kentucky’s Tyler Ulis, also a freshman, was seen in a walking boot in June for precautionary reasons. We’ll update as we hear more info. Update: As soon as I posted this on Twitter, Cliff Alexander retweeted it: |
