Heh, one of the paralegals at one of my old firm had a husband who was a boom mic-er, actually I think more technically he was an all around sound technician. Didn't know a lot about him but he seemed to be in demand, even while residing in the St. Louis suburbs. She'd say he was off to Toronto, or in Romania, plenty of time in LA. Probably half the year in LA, unless on a protracted shoot elsewhere. Heck Dane might even know the guy [though I can't recall his name as this was like 10-12 years ago].

The new Star Trek made Star Trek worth spending $$$ to actually watch. Aside from doses of Shatner and Nemoy nostagia, that franchise was sucking the hugest of butts.

He can be annoying but he also makes a lot of good posts and can be pretty amusing. You just have to ignore his desire to talk about himself and enjoy the other stuff. I'm pretty impressed overall with these breakdowns of the posters. It's a little cookie-cutter but it's also a lot better than I would have done.
