I really doubt that he will be brought back.

Cassel, however, will.

Manning-less Indy has scored more points than our pile of shit team.

O.city 12-11-2011 03:08 PM

I just don't want Cassel back.

Whatever has to happen for that to happen is ok by me.

We won Chicago because of hustle. We only barely beat San Diego because our QB shit the bed in the second half. How many games have we lost in the past two years primarily because our QB didn't execute the plays called in? I would argue that last year, if Haley had an average QB (not even an Aaron Rodgers. Matt Hasselbeck or Andy Dalton), the Chiefs would have overwhelmingly won the division and had a good playoff run. (correction... in 2010, that is)

Haley getting fired would be scapegoating for the absolutely shitty decisions Pioli made at QB. Haley's been anything but perfect, but he was also given very little to work with. This team doesn't need large changes. They need a new QB. If you keep Haley and you bring in a legit QB, I guarantee this team is consistently strong.

The point being that you have no idea how the head coach would respond with better players, who allow you to actually do things with your playbook other than grind the ball on the ground because you don't trust your QB.

I would still argue that putting the Chiefs in the playoffs last year and winning 5 games this year with the kind of talent we have is nothing short of a miracle. We win games because we outplay other teams. I can't think of any legit playoff teams where our team comes even CLOSE to the talent level they have.

We were at least an NFL-average with Tyler Thigpen the 2nd half of that season. With Haley+Cassel (or Palko) - Charles, we are the worst in the league. Do we really have less talent on offense now? It may ALL be on the QBs, but at this point, may as well let someone else give it a try.

Any team with a franchise QB is consistently strong (or has a tremendous chance to be strong, at the very least).

I like your devoted, blind, defense of Haley.

We all agree with your QB point. We are pissed at Haley for not giving our future backup QB some playing time.

At this point I wouldn't mind if Haley was fired. But if Haley is fired and Cassel stay we should all mail antifreeze to Chiefs management.

This is the worst offensive unit we've ever had from a talent perspective when Palko/Stanzi are your only QB options.

We have below average RBs and very bad options at QB. At least in most eras, we at least had good enough RBs to keep defenses on their toes.
