Looks like a game 5 for Dodgers vs Nationals.

They've literally won in spite of Kershaw in both his starts. Hope he has a chance to redeem himself in the NLCS. I'd love for him to get a title before his career is said and done.

Baez is lighting it up out there on defense.

Are you kidding me?

Nice Balboni reference, too.

siberian khatru 10-11-2016 07:35 PM

I wonder how many viewers know who Steve Balboni was. Or is. Or whatever.

siberian khatru 10-11-2016 07:38 PM

And more great D!

I loved him in Fargo.

I feel like this is a cut and paste comment for Kershaw every playoffs.

He had a balla' start in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Mets last year, but then Degrom outdueled Greinke in Game 5.

Yep.

Chiefspants 10-11-2016 08:06 PM

This is the year of the offensive pitcher.

Chiefspants 10-11-2016 08:06 PM

That also brought back painful memories of Petit's BS one handed off balance momentum shifting bloop single in Game 4 of the WS. God.

Matt Moore saw three pitches:
A 90 mph four-seam fastball
A 91 mph four-seam fastball
and
A 92 mph four-seam fastball
.. with the bases loaded no less.

Lackey better expect to get burned at that point, "gamesmanship" between pitchers be damned.

For sure, I was moreso referencing Arrieta's bomb, Wood's bomb, Hendricks' 2 rbi single, Kershaw's double, and now Moore's single to go along with it.

Am I missing anyone? Either way, the Cubs have gotten more production from their pitchers than Heyward and Rizzo combined.
