I know this because I sat in an active ice storm and watched the Chiefs blow a game at Arrowhead to Indy.

I was looking for data on that crew for this year and came across an interesting tidbit. Apparently. the NFL is planning on adding one full time official per crew next year. It's not a lot, but apparently, according to the last CBA, the NFL can only add up to 17 full time officials. The crew size will increase from 7 [art time to 7 part time and one full time official per crew.

The NFL's collective bargaining agreement includes a clause allowing the league to hire no more than 17 game officials as full-time employees as of the 2013 season.

Steel Men? That gives them to much credit.

"I think I'm changing the game," the Pittsburgh Steelers running back told Bleacher Report. "In that sense, I'm what Steph Curry is to basketball. Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily think Steph Curry is the best basketball player, but he changed the game so he's going to always go down as being remembered. Now, everyone wants to shoot the 3 and shoot it from deep."

He ain't changing shit. I hope our players take exception and shut him down. Light him up!

It isn't his crew right? Mixed crews in the playoffs. If memory serves, Cheffers' crew had the most flags thrown this year. Led in average penalties by a decent amount.

This is what I found. Looks like he was middle of the pack. 10th most.

Carl Cheffers is the referee for the Steelers-Chiefs game; he is in his 17th season and 9th as referee. This is Cheffers’ 10th postseason assignment, including 4 Wild Card Playoffs, 4 Divisional Playoffs, and 2 Conference Championships.

Yrs 2016 crew College Occupation
R 51 Carl Cheffers 17 California-Irvine high school principal
U 64 Dan Ferrell 14 Corrente Cal State-Fullerton internal auditor
HL 22 Steve Stelljes 15 Morelli Friends teacher
LJ 45 Jeff Seeman 15 Parry Minnesota corporate real estate
FJ 67 Doug Rosenbaum 16 Morelli Illinois Wesleyan sports park director
SJ 7 Keith Washington 9 Parry Virginia Military Institute manager, law firm
BJ 30 Todd Prukop 8 Corrente Cal State-Fullerton sales

So the crew is headed by a principal and includes a bunch of guys whose occupation has nothing to so with football? SMH. I don't want a salesman out there deciding if that chokehold on our passsrushers is legal.

See? This is why I post here. Thank you for the info, sir.

So is Houston really ok? I'm watching this situation like a hawk because if he can't go and this injury is botched again, then there needs to be some heat on Andy and this staff. These ACLs have been just completely ****ed the past couple seasons.

Mike Tomlin says TE Ladarius Green suffered a ‘setback’ in protocol

By Matt Barbato
January 10, 2017
Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin revealed some bad news regarding tight end Ladarius Green.

Tomlin announced Green suffered a “setback,” per the Observer-Reporter’s Dale Lolley. It’s uncertain what type of setback Green endured, but he’s been in concussion protocol for the past two weeks and missed Pittsburgh’s wild card win over the Miami Dolphins.

Green has been banged up for most of the season and missed 10 games during his first season with the team. He caught only 18 passes for 304 yards and 1 touchdown.

There’s no official word on Green’s status for Sunday’s divisional round game against the Kansas City Chiefs. But the tight end’s chances of playing seem slim, at best.
