Because we run sideways on 3rd and 1 and don't let our HoF quarterback win the game.

We'd have to put our faith in our receivers to get a FG too. It makes no goddamn difference.

Just make him the PR/KR. Who cares if he gets hurt?

The playcalls in the red zone were so bad

irafreak 09-07-2023 09:23 PM

Is it too early to say veach is a bad evaluator of receivers? ...thinking toney could be a #1.

Meh.

It’s a Week 1 loss to an NFC team.

The short yardage playcalling is horrible. I don’t understand people blaming the players for it. The coaches are consistently outsmarting themselves in those situations.

Two catches might have out you in field goal range. A td would take many more and nobody is catching anything tonight.

Yeah, Veach isn't going to back down at all. The defense allowed two ****ing scores.

If anything, give his money to a WR.

Rain Man 09-07-2023 09:25 PM

That was terrible. We played way too conservative, and our wide receivers played like ebola. They probably won't even be able to grab the Lions' hands to shake hands.

saturnknts 09-07-2023 09:25 PM

How many passes went Ross direction? The one I saw at least he caught it....

The Franchise 09-07-2023 09:25 PM

Positive is that the defense looked pretty decent for being without Jones AND Omenihu.

No.

Indy game last year was worse. We actually had Jones and Kelce then. But worse since that one.

Despite the receivers, would have won with better coaching decisions. Who woulda thought that.

Wake up call? Still have no receivers. Wake up to do what? They can't catch.

Woogieman 09-07-2023 09:25 PM

WHat I found really disturbing was the 4 (?) horrendous jet sweep attempts for -18 yards in crucial situations...is that Nagy or Andy?

Andy Reid has forgotten more about football than any of us will ever know, but there are kids playing Madden who would never take the ball out of Mahomes’s hands on a critical third down to run trick play bullshit.

I will never understand that decision.

Absolutely not. The defense gave up 14 points. They did great without Jones. If anything, Travis Kelce should be demanding $30M per year right now. This offense is garbage without him.

Valiant 09-07-2023 09:26 PM

Reminds me of the Tampa Superbowl. Tackles getting beat and dropped passes.

The Skyy is not falling, but wow, did Toney have one of the worst games I have ever seen a WR play. The inability or refusal to do a QB sneak is an issue. Just have Bell to a traditional sneak — why all the fancy stuff?

DJJasonp 09-07-2023 09:26 PM

Nice work not getting D hop or any other receiver that can catch.

Game was lost by receiving corp and two terrible possessions back to back with dumb play calling

Toney literally cost us at least 10 points.
