After the combine/interview process I think we will see Geno move up, simply that he's a QB and we know how it goes with QB's.
I have a question for Kiper tho. If Geno is good enough to be picket at 6 or 8, whats the difference in going 1? I'm actually thinking alot of the reason they aren't really mocking him to us at this point is based on the fact of who our GM is. |

RGIII is a very good pocket QB, but he pulls the ball down much quicker and takes off running far sooner than Geno does, even on this level. |

And to top that all off, you have your own god damn thread. A Bronco fan, on a Chiefs board. You insult everyone everyday you log into this board. So excuse me if that seems a little "off" to me. |

He's a gifted passer but he's already been hurt twice this year. |

I hate Pioli. ****ing Dontari ****ing Poe when Lotulelei and Hankins were available the following year. **** - how about Brockers since we already had Powe? **** YOU PIOLI!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, now that that is out of the system, I think that without the incredibly horrificness of Pioli and his draft picks and coaching staff decisions, we wouldn't be in this glorious position - to draft Geno Smith while, at the same time, get a shiny brand new coaching staff that might have some degree of competence over Crennel and Daboll. I LOVE YOU PIOLI!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR RUINING MY TEAM TO THE POINT WHERE WE FINALLY HAVE A SHOT AT A LEGITIMATE ELITE LEVEL QB AND DECENT COACHING STAFF!!! Oh, and thank you for sucking so ****ing bad that I never have to worry about a Petersonesque 20 year run with your tyrannical, despotic, narcisstic personage at the helm of my favorite team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart you ****ing ball of suckery. |

He's smart... he'll learn to run out of bounds or slide. |

And all I was doing in this thread was posting a link to Mel Kiper's chat and was wondering if some of you would want to say something to Kiper. I wasn't trolling, so I have no idea what you are whining about. |

His issue isn't running. It's taking more than he's given, like I said before which you conveniently ignored. |

Same things were said about Vick.
Not saying he's Vick but it seems that we always talk about "well, thats something he can learn not to do", but these guys rarely do change. It seems alot of times you have to take the good with the bad. It's weird how things go, when it comes to injuries. One could actually say he's actually brittle in that he's been hurt alot. He missed a whole year of college with a torn ACL, now he's already missed games in the NFL. I don't necessarily think guys are more prone to injury than the other, it's alot of bad luck. But he needs to stop putting himself in those situations. |

He's not a 6'3", 245 lbs. Steve Young playing in the 80's and 90's. He's not a 6'6", 260 lbs. Cam Newton. He's not a 6'4", 250 lbs. Tim Tebow. The guy isn't big. He's going to get absolutely destroyed. It's already happened twice this year alone. Those injuries start mounting up. Especially the concussions. He's a very smart, very talented player. But he's going to have to re-invent how he plays the game if he wants any type of longevity. And that was the biggest problem that I had with him as a NFL level prospect. Guys like that just don't survive long. And that's why I absolutely love Geno. The guy has an uncanny ability to stay in the pocket, use the protection around him in a flexible manner, keep his eyes downfield, go through his progressions quickly, find that receiver, get that ball out as quickly as I've ever seen a QB, and rocket that pigskin right to the receiver in the right place with the right velocity. Geno's guy don't drop balls. Because he's got insane timing with his passes and he throws an absolutely beautiful ball with the correct velocity. Straight up, I like Geno Smith better than any other potential Chiefs draft pick. Ever. |
