After the combine/interview process I think we will see Geno move up, simply that he's a QB and we know how it goes with QB's.

I have a question for Kiper tho. If Geno is good enough to be picket at 6 or 8, whats the difference in going 1?

I'm actually thinking alot of the reason they aren't really mocking him to us at this point is based on the fact of who our GM is.

I guess I don't see the superior pocket awareness.

RG3 was always eyes down field and extending plays by scrambling in college, too. What sets RG3 apart is his athletic ability. Smith simply can't touch RG3's ability, it's not who he is.

In the end we are trying to compare who was/is the better prospect.

Is there a single professional, that isn't emotionally attached to the situation, that regards Smith as high of a prospect as RG3?

Geno played behind one of the worst O-lines in college ball, and he avoided pressure with his legs, within and outside of the pocket, and only ran as the very last resort.

RGIII is a very good pocket QB, but he pulls the ball down much quicker and takes off running far sooner than Geno does, even on this level.

And your a ****ing Broncos fan who comes on a Chiefs site and spews bullshit in threads you don't belong in, where you continually talk about some stupid bullshit player or something Bronco that we don't give a shit about.

And to top that all off, you have your own god damn thread. A Bronco fan, on a Chiefs board.

You insult everyone everyday you log into this board.

So excuse me if that seems a little "off" to me.

It's absolutely a concern with RG3, yes.

He's a gifted passer but he's already been hurt twice this year.

JFC...

I hate Pioli.

****ing Dontari ****ing Poe when Lotulelei and Hankins were available the following year.

**** - how about Brockers since we already had Powe?

**** YOU PIOLI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, now that that is out of the system, I think that without the incredibly horrificness of Pioli and his draft picks and coaching staff decisions, we wouldn't be in this glorious position - to draft Geno Smith while, at the same time, get a shiny brand new coaching staff that might have some degree of competence over Crennel and Daboll.

I LOVE YOU PIOLI!!!!!!

THANK YOU FOR RUINING MY TEAM TO THE POINT WHERE WE FINALLY HAVE A SHOT AT A LEGITIMATE ELITE LEVEL QB AND DECENT COACHING STAFF!!!

Oh, and thank you for sucking so ****ing bad that I never have to worry about a Petersonesque 20 year run with your tyrannical, despotic, narcisstic personage at the helm of my favorite team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart you ****ing ball of suckery.

Both of his injuries aren't an issue with him running. It's an issue of him taking more than he's given.

He's smart... he'll learn to run out of bounds or slide.

Like Trent Green did?

It's not an issue with him running? Isn't that how he got hurt?

This forum is great and I keep all of my Broncos posts in one thread. I was doing it before you started posting here. And a lot of fans from other teams come here, and for the most part, we stay out of Chiefs discussions and let you guys discuss your own team.

And all I was doing in this thread was posting a link to Mel Kiper's chat and was wondering if some of you would want to say something to Kiper. I wasn't trolling, so I have no idea what you are whining about.

He wouldn't have gotten hurt if he ran out of bounds for his first injury and he wouldn't have been injured if he slid for his second injury...

His issue isn't running. It's taking more than he's given, like I said before which you conveniently ignored.

I agree that he's a smart intelligent guy, but whats it going to take for him to learn?

Same things were said about Vick.

Not saying he's Vick but it seems that we always talk about "well, thats something he can learn not to do", but these guys rarely do change. It seems alot of times you have to take the good with the bad.

It's weird how things go, when it comes to injuries. One could actually say he's actually brittle in that he's been hurt alot. He missed a whole year of college with a torn ACL, now he's already missed games in the NFL.

I don't necessarily think guys are more prone to injury than the other, it's alot of bad luck. But he needs to stop putting himself in those situations.

Dude...the guy is 6'1" and 215 lbs. He's going to get blown up nearly every time. His knee got cranked not because it got hit, but because it snapped forward from the force of getting hammered by Ngata. Because he didn't slide. He thought he could get another yard or two going face first Pete Rose style and he needs to realize that the NFL is comprised of guys who are 6'4", 270 lbs. who can run just as fast as he can.

He's not a 6'3", 245 lbs. Steve Young playing in the 80's and 90's. He's not a 6'6", 260 lbs. Cam Newton. He's not a 6'4", 250 lbs. Tim Tebow. The guy isn't big. He's going to get absolutely destroyed. It's already happened twice this year alone. Those injuries start mounting up. Especially the concussions.

He's a very smart, very talented player. But he's going to have to re-invent how he plays the game if he wants any type of longevity. And that was the biggest problem that I had with him as a NFL level prospect. Guys like that just don't survive long.

And that's why I absolutely love Geno. The guy has an uncanny ability to stay in the pocket, use the protection around him in a flexible manner, keep his eyes downfield, go through his progressions quickly, find that receiver, get that ball out as quickly as I've ever seen a QB, and rocket that pigskin right to the receiver in the right place with the right velocity.

Geno's guy don't drop balls. Because he's got insane timing with his passes and he throws an absolutely beautiful ball with the correct velocity.

Straight up, I like Geno Smith better than any other potential Chiefs draft pick. Ever.
