Greg Norman can collapse (as usual) on the champagne he had waiting.

73-75 is some Lee Westwood energy.

Rahm is in much better control of his emotions than he once was. It's put him over the top.

Top 12 and ties invited back to the 2024 Masters

I would have far preferred the PGA Tour and its media to eat their words about the quality of LIV for the past year with a Koepka win but Rahm beating him is hardly a surprise. He’s been the best player in the world for a few years now and certainly has been in this spot more recently than Koepka. That very clearly showed today.
Mickelson also coming T2 thirty years after his first major top 10 (1993 PGA) is a remarkable accomplishment. Such a crazy talent level. |

How Cantlay didn’t get a penalty today, I’m not sure. |
Tiger dropped out. What a wuss. Stayed long enough to tie the record and then ran away.

Masters usually sucks. They invite half the field of regular tourneys and fill it with like 20 geezers. So you get crap endings like this a lot

That course with all the elevation changes is a grind on a young person walking it. He wasn't going to play a round and a half on that hilly course and in those conditions. He needs to recuperate and get ready for the British Open, a tournament he can actually win. |

I think it's the right group of players. Top 50 golfers in the world. All the tournament winners from April to March. All the recent major winners and top 4 finishers at previous majors. I could see bumping up the OWGR group from 50 to 60. I think the exclusivity is what makes it special. One of the cool things about watching a young golfer win a tour event is thinking immediately, he's going to the Masters! |
