Looks like Albert was charged with an error on the cutoff play.

I watched the replay several times last night...

Albert should have cut it, the person who suggested he wasn't cutoff man there is an idiot.

That said, if Kinsler DOES try and score that throw, even being up the line, might get him out (but good bluff on his part to act like he's going home) and good read by Andrus to take 2nd base.

I still don't think it was as bad of a play on Pujols' part as people are making it out to be...still believe lack of communication could have had something to do with the mishap...

We blew the series. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

With one difference: San Fran took a 2-0 lead to Texas.

Step away from the ledge

It's now a 5 game series

Nobody but Tim McCarver is blaming the loss on Albert. He tried to make a play and couldn't get to the ball.

I'd rather be up 2-0, but this is not a death blow. We need one of the next two games. Getting down 3-1 on this team is probably not a good idea.

Albert, the anti Jeter.

That's not true at all.

Both ESPN analysts this morning on SC said that Albert was in poor position and gave him a pass because of his injuries. Said that ball has to be cut off though. MLB Network last night said it was a poor effort on the play as well.

Even his own manager made a roundabout comment on it, saying something to the effect of, "not sure what happened there, Albert is usually a pretty heady player."

That's coachspeak for "Albert ****ed up."

Based on his actions by not making himself available to the media last night, I'm thinking even Albert knows he ****ed up - he just didn't want to talk about it, which is kinda bush league, IMO.

You ****ed up, let the media ask, admit you ****ed up, and come out raking in Game 3. Avoiding the media solves nothing.

I think he made the wrong move by putting in Rhodes.

It was a horrible decision. Absolutely horrible taking out Motte in that situation.

WTF?
Dude, if you want to give up then GTFO of this thread and don't come back.

We are playing with house money. We can bash just as good as they can, its not over.

That move was a microcosm for why some people, like myself, think that TLR is a ****ing moron.

STL needs the swing and miss in that situation. There isn't a better candidate than Motte in the pen to make this happen, yet TLR goes (insane) old school and plays a lefty-lefty matchup with 2000-year-old Rhodes.

Good call.

This ceased to be true once we defeated Philadelphia in the first round.

Are you young or posting drunk?

historically, teams don't comeback to win the WS after a devastating loss like last night.

Yes it sucked but it was a 1 run lead. It's not like the Rangers came storming back down by 4 runs.
