We should make sure that Winston and every other ass clamp out there who has been demeaning Chiefs fans sees this. Clearly, the fans were cheering the first down then Cassel's walk-off. Although I'm sure there were a few knuckleheads in the crowd, this is nothing to be ashamed of and nothing like the behavior portrayed by Winston. Arrowhead ain't Lincoln Financial Field.

Wow, this is the first time I've HEARD Winston's rant in it's entirety. He sounds like he's going to cry.

Looks like Bowe is asking fans to cheer as Cassel walks off the field. People routinely cheer an injured player who leaves the field. The video shows Bowe trying to encourage people to cheer Matt but you hear boos and some cheering.

What has happened is that the treatment of Cassel here, on sports radio, booing of him at charity events, messages on planes, etc. is coming full circle. Fans would get the benefit of the doubt if it were not for the piling on the guy. Stop with the disingenuous disbelief of how people could possibly assume fans would cheer his injury. We've routinely had people expressing hope or almost praying for it here and elsewhere.

Winston may only have been here six months but he's been here long enough to witness some pretty classless shit aimed towards Matt Cassel. I don't include the plane message in the classless treatment but the reason I did not donate was because of it being directed towards Cassel. I did not feel comfortable personally targeting a player in that fashion.

Chiefs fans demanding an apology or acting appalled or astonished that they would be accused of something like this is rather comical. Seriously, look at the way the guy has been treated in this town. His treatment makes what we did to Grbac seem like child's play.

Did 70k people cheer Cassel being injured. No. Did 70k people hope and pray he'd be alright and be able to continue to play the game. No. The truth is somewhere in between. Either way, it ain't pretty.

I love how it's alright for athletes to call out fans for no reason, but fans are assholes whenever they voice displeasure with a team.

I almost feel sorry for Cassel, but don't blame the fans for the poor treatment, blame Pioli. The fans can't boo Pioli himself, but they can boo his supposed boy wonder who has no business being an NFL starting QB.

The game-plan says it all. The fans' perception of Cassel is exactly what the coaching staff thinks of Cassel, too: He can't play. How are fans supposed to voice their displeasure? We have a GM who has forced Cassel on two head coaches. Enough is enough.
