There are two Pioli QB picks on the Chiefs roster; Cassel and Stanzi. If Duball could get even close to Brady's first year starter performance from first year starter Stanzi, he restores some of Pioli's executive cred and sets himself up for HC after Crennel. A big opportunity for Duball to make himself and Pioli look good by ending the Cassel experiment.

The Chiefs are overdue for some extra-ordinary good luck.

I think Orton is alot better than people here give him credit for.

He throws a really good deep ball, is accurate, and can really spin it. He makes some mental mistakes at times, but is usually due to over aggressiveness. I'd like to see what the guy could do with a great running game and a really good wr core.

i agree 150%. :thumb:

Why couldn't Belicheck just have cut Cassel all those times he was on the bubble.

At least it will only take a few more years (as long as it's with only 1 coordinator) for us to know what we have in Cassel.

Facebook Chiefs fans make Warpaint look like Chiefsplanet...

Those guys are complete dipshits...

Daboll’s hiring may be a good sign for Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel. They worked together for two years in New England.

LMAO... Shocking...

He was always the second best QB on the roster. Cassel would be good as a back up.

I think he was nearly cut atleast 3 times in NE, but squeeked by at the last cutdown.

DOesnt matter who the **** we hire if Cassel is our QB. Any OC would be very very very limited.

In the end, when we hit them top tier teams, he will shit the bed, so it doesnt matter if its Bill Walsh thats the OC.

This is exactly why I won't friend any of those pages/people. It's one thing being a homer out of loyalty. It's completely another being a homer because you're stupid and don't know jack about football.

It seems to me that Pioli probably has some ego problems and tends to make decisions based on that fact.

Or low self esteem. He probably thinks he'll be exposed as a fake GM if he gets guys from unfamiliar grounds. He clings on to the "Patriot Way" like a child to his security blanket.

O.city 02-04-2012 05:00 PM

Eventually we are gonna run out of tree guys or Pioli will get fired.

O.city 02-04-2012 05:02 PM

It's getting comical, league wide, this whole infatuation with everything Patriot in KC.

I don't even care about boycotting the team at this point I want to move.

That's the spirit.

It would be fabulously awesome to the extreme if, on account of Pioli's absurd decisions and egomaniacal behavior, people started moving away from the KC area causing a dramatic decrease in tax revenues and an eventual total economic collapse.

I mean, fabulously awesome in a bad way.

I mentioned it in a thread when we were considering Daboll, but he was an econ major at U. of Rochester. Guessing he had at least a 1300 SAT. He's got to be one of the smartest OC in the league. Of course, doesn't mean he's going to be good, but being smart is at least something.

I"m guessing he'll coordinate a pretty decent offense with a healthy Charles. Won't matter in the playoffs though against a good team, if we were to make it. In the playoffs, a coordinator can't scheme around an inferior QB.

I'd actually be a little excited about this hire if we cut Cassel tomorrow. I think there is some upside potential with Daboll.
