Yesterday you were arguing with somebody that Nobody was gonna trade a first rounder for Albert, now you want to argue that he will get a second and another pick? |

Shit, if you save up you might be able to afford a Eric Winston or a Standford Routt. |
Like I said earlier I'd much rather take a high upside pass rusher to pair in sub packs with tamba and Houston

If the Chiefs are dead set on taking an OL in the first...I'd offer up Albert for a 2014 first to a sucky team.
I'd rather have that than a 2013 second. |
I'm fine with other players at 1. Never expected Geno at 1. I just think it's silly to draft a tackle when you already have an established one. Or when you have the #1 pick and there isn't a star tackle in the class. Which there isn't. Not even close.
And I'm just not sure why it's blasphemy to say that, that Jerkhole is just an average 1st round tackle who's being talked about at 1:1 because it's a weak class, when the same has been said repeatedly about Smith at QB for months. And it's actually true for Joekoff. And as far as Geno goes, since he's constantly brought up, ironically usually by the people who don't like like him, it's also funny how all the folks who say "Geno isn't worth the pick" are doing their best to ignore the virtual fact that he's going top 5. Let's just ignore that though. If we don't talk about it maybe everyone will forget. It's like having a religious discussion. Just stick your fingers in your ears and pretend there isn't anybody else talking. As far as the one goes, if QB is out, then I'm fine with a trade down and an actual upgrade from a 2012 starter. Which none of the left tackles in this class will be. And CB is basically out because of free agent moves. I like a couple of receivers, but again, they've made enough moves that that's probably out. It makes it hard to really say "this would be a great pick!" to anybody at this point, because they actually have done some solid work in free agency. I'd probably like a pass rusher more than anything outside of QB at this point, although I think that's more of a luxury pick at this point. The logical side of my brain says "ugh, not another 5-tech" but that might make as much sense as anything looking at the roster. It really looks like we're going to have one of the least interesting #1 picks in history. Or if they trade down, probably one of the less inspiring first round picks we've had. Which makes it kind of hard to get excited about draft day. Which is kind of a shame when you have 1) a new front office and coaching staff and 2) the 1:1. |

I've enjoyed watching Albert over the years, watching him develop and he has had so many good plays where he's out in space on the edge blocking for a Jamaal run time after time. I had hopes Reid would retain him, we'll see if this works out. |

An angle that hasn't been discussed is that the Chiefs DO have a long term offer on the table for Albert (John Dorsey said they are open to trading Albert to a team that might offer him a better long term offer) and he wants more. Maybe they are pursuing a trade to show Albert his market value in the eyes of other teams a d are releasing their compensation desires to show Albert that there is a genuine interest in appeasing the player.
The key here, is that we have a long term contract on the table for him that could very well be fair...it's not like they ripped off Bowe or Dustin. Maybe once other teams tell Albert what they would pay him, he will see that the KC offer isn't that bad and decides to stay. Maybe that's what their plan is, maybe not. |
The most pathetic part of this offseason is every bit of Chiefs news being treated as positive.
It's ****ing disgusting. You all might as well be Barry Peraino. |
