Maybe we should run over to 49ers boards and show them those gifs.

Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki has missed the first several days of training camp with a right knee injury.
The Chiefs, under ex-Patriots GM Scott Pioli, are tight-lipped about injuries, so we have no idea about the severity of Moeaki's or a timetable for return. Moeaki was one of the better run-blocking tight ends in football as a rookie. He's only a TE2 type in fantasy leagues with added weaponry in K.C. this season.

We are thin. Behind Jackson and Dorsey I don't think we have a single starting caliber DE, at least not yet. Bailey is more of a rotational guy for now, and same with Gilberry. Gilberry might turn into a three down lineman with his added weight but we have to see it first. If either Dorsey or Jackson go down we are in trouble IMO. I'm hoping we get Ty Warren to solve this problem.

BossChief 08-01-2011 06:38 PM

How many DL do you guys think this team is gonna take to the 53?

Gilberry
Dorsey
Bailey
Powe
Gregg
Jackson?
Toribio?
Gales?

Ty Warren?

How many did we keep last year? 6?

We're ridiculously thin at DE.

We have Dorsey and crossed fingers.

Jackson's shown next to nothing, Gilberry is a passing down specialist and Bailey and the UDFA are freaking rookies.

We might have some good depth for the future, but for 2011, we have one solid 5-technique and a bunch of question marks.

I can't wait for Jackson to shut some people up this year. Its almost as annoying as everyone saying the same stuff about Dorsey last year.

Dorsey had talent coming out of college. Universally thought of as a Top 5 pick.

Jackson, not so much.

You'll probably be waiting a while.

Wonder if there will be a run on free agents right before the deadline for them to start practicing?

Maybe, but they're missing valuable time as it is. It seems to me that new FAs could really benefit from a few days with the playbook and access to the coaching staff.
