But, if Jackson gets rocked early you have to bring in Westbrook and see if he can keep the ball down not because he should be any better. We just have no other choice because of missing waino. If neither can keep the ball down it will be Texas's chance to score 15 runs. We are screwed and just have to move on to game 5 and a Carp induced win,

Whichever ineffective idiot we roll out tonight, I don't expect him to last long. I expect several innings of long relief from Scrabble, who LaRussa wisely didn't use last night.

Think of something more clever, or try to be original for once...I know it's tough considering you have no personality and are just an angry, depressed individual but please...one time...something original.

I kind of like Pootie. It's cute.

Maybe we can find a mod to make it permanent.

Do whatever makes another one of ChiefsPlanet's angriest posters happy...please. Do it for your health. Whatever can be done to make you smile for once, please, have a mod do it. I give you full permission.

I don't understand why you don't get it - an obvious combination of your original user name with poo - in other words, SHIT.

Pootie.

Much like the Cubs, this name has no weaknesses!

Not bashing, really.

But, I can't understand how a person can switch loyalty to teams. Its as foreign to me as thinking having a dick up my ass would be a good thing.

One of the enjoyable parts of my relationship with my son is the ability to share the ups and downs of a sports team. He's a 5th generation Cardinal fan. It matters that I can tell him the story of his great grandfather meeting Stan the Man after a game. How I use to spend my summer nights listening to a radio broadcast of games. That has much more value that jumping to another team because they pissed you off.

I grew up in KC until I was 12...I loved the Chiefs and the Bulls.

I lived between KC and Illinois for years (parents divorced)...cheered for Frank Thomas and the Sox as a 6-10 year old kid watching WGN replay the next morning when I knew the Big Hurt hit bombs...

then Sosa happened back in '98 and I got to watch all of that when I was 13...

so I've always cheered for local teams...I'm not a guy who HATES the Sox and LOVES the Cubs...I liked and cheered for both teams...and the Royals...and I'm sure now that I'm in Dallas I'll cheer for the Rangers now.

My only real team that, at the end of the day, I gave a shit about is the shitty Chiefs.

NFL is king...I am a baseball fan because that was my sport, but more or less I just appreciate good baseball.

I love the NBA, I cheer for the Bulls but I watch maybe 10-15 games a year so it's hard to be a diehard...playoff basketball is king, though.

Great. I know I'm hilarious, and in shape, to boot!

Hootie 10-23-2011 11:00 AM

and BRC, I'm glad you can bond with your 5th generation Cardinals fan son...that's great.

Unfortunately for me, my family has no centralized location, I have uncles in South Carolina, Michigan, New York...even Guam. I have no family in Texas, I had my mom and sister in Illinois, my dad in Kansas and my other sister in Missouri.

My dad is a diehard Detroit fan...I grew up in KC. Why in the hell would I cheer for a market (Detroit) I could never see?

My first sports memory (and a story my dad tells to this day) was when I was 5 and went nuts when DT sacked Elway causing a fumble and a Chiefs recovery...

the Arrowhead experiences when I was a kid will have me hooked for life (unfortunately)...I wish I could have been a Bears fan...at least then I would have known what going to a Super Bowl feels like.

Just remember, we're laughing at you, not with you.

Got run, Pootie. Try not to chafe Tony's nuts too much, we need him sharp tonight.

I can see your viewpoint and how your experience is different from mine. I grew up in Springfield, Mo, a one team town back then. But, my son grew up in KC. So, I guess theres no tempalte to apply to everyone.
