I think the coaches are good with what we have at OLB.

Tamba - he's Tamba
Studebaker - has shown well in limited snaps
Sheffield - was really coming on and earning playing time in sub packages last preseason before he went down.
Houston - played really well against the pass in college. Could be a hell of a complement to Hali if he can stop the run. Also rolls a tight blunt.

Your pipe dream would look better if it were centered around Matt Roth. He's solid against the run and though it doesn't show in his sack numbers, he can really put pressure on the QB.

I'm not saying we're ****ed at LB. He just would have been a MASSIVE upgrade IMO. Would have been fun. I'll get over it.

I guess Ryan Harris is going to sign his tender with the Broncos.

Don't know why I said tender. He is expected to sign a contract today....

The Broncos are close to adding quality depth to their offensive line.

Ryan Harris provides not just quality depth, because he was the Broncos' starting right tackle the previous three seasons. And may have a chance to make it four.

Officially, Harris will make a free- agent visit with the Broncos at the team's headquarters today. But as was the case with defensive tackle Marcus Thomas, visits for Broncos free agents who already know the facility are likely nothing more than a formality to re-signing.

Harris would get a chance to win his job back at right tackle, which is held by rookie Orlando Franklin, a second-round pick. If Franklin wins the job, Harris would be an ideal backup because he can also spell Ryan Clady at left tackle.

To me he's only a luxury if he costs us something else. There's no way his contract would impact our ability to sign any other players. We might have been the nuber one rushing team, but we could have been EVEN BETTER. Why not go for great?

It would be the only position that we would be DEEP in.

J/k. Enjoy your new toy for the 3 or 4 games a season that he'll give you.

FYP

If you have to raid the Falcons, I would rather have Snelling.

If the Rams do sign him, that would be the change of pace back they need. Hopefully his knees are good.

You are getting too excited over a bunch of marginal players.

In St. Louis, marginal is a major improvement.

The more people around the league talk, the more obvious is it the Giants will not get back a first-round pick for Osi Umenyiora. Next move.
