Excellent point. SNR played it well taking Barr and then Carr in the second. D, DaKC and you all had the option to take one of the super studs in this draft and QB up later.
I understand the whole if you don't have a QB you better be drafting a QB rationale. It's just one I don't buy into when the kind of elite talent like Mack and Watkins are still on-the-board.

I would have also passed on Manziel if he had been available at 8.

Truthfully, unless it was Bridgewater or Bortles, I was always going to gun for drafting Garoppolo in the 2nd. I'm really high on that guy. I absolutely see another Tony Romo in him, and that's not just because he went to the same school.

That Derek Carr was still available in the 2nd was just that much better of an outcome in the end.

Pest Bridgewater people are making too much of his small hands dave Krieg had small hands but had a great career.

I'm banking on Baker being healthy and returning to all pro form...you are also underestimating the depth of this OT class. Even if I can't get a RT in the draft, I'd be fine with a couple of the free agent options out there after te draft. Niklas should be able to really help out whoever we put in at RT, too.
