Yeah that is a good point.. Think back, which I may be wrong, has he ever just gunned it one way or made one cut the other way.. Everytime I see him, he just does the juke back and forth and gets tackled..

The juke does not work when you don't actually go anywhere with it..

he's been compared to Welker, Charles, Faulk, Harvin, Dante Hall and others...in spite of the fact that he has failed as a kick returner, failed as a wr, and is now losing snaps to jackie freaking battle while Charles is out...

he doesn't make people miss, he doesn't beak tackles, and he doesn't break td runs...

he can't do anything the previously mentioned players do...and this guy is still somehow a 'playmaker'....

and he was the 36th pick in the draft

All this, like i mentioned earlier...he would be alot more effective if he would bulk up and get stronger which would enable him to break tackles. Maybe he cant? Some guys cant bulk up.....

This is the same team that stuck with Eric Hicks for years and years after his big first impression.

McCluster's going to be around awhile

Arellious Benn just scored a 65-yard TD.

Oh man if only we had drafted him we could have gotten a RT in the first round this year!

THE NATIONAL MEDIA NOW RAGES AGAINST DEXTER MCBUSTER! BRING HIM DOWN!

http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/stor...rged-as-weapon

Quote:

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The two most recent games have easily been the Chiefs’ best in terms of offensive production, and they’ve happened without much of a contribution from Dexter McCluster.

He loomed as a principal figure out of the backfield when the Chiefs lost Jamaal Charles for the season with a knee injury, but the Chiefs have been unable to make a weapon out of McCluster. He has been effective running draw plays, but at 170 pounds is too small to be a consistent threat running between the tackles.

Jackie Battle at 6-2, 238 pounds has been far more productive as a runner, particularly when the Chiefs are looking for tough yardage. The Chiefs have also been unable to get McCluster matched up one-on-one against linebackers in the passing game, and his contributions in that part of the game are even more disappointing.

Because he’s a home run threat, McCluster will continue to get touches, but he won’t get as many as anticipated earlier in the season.

He was a gimmick from the start.

It's just not the type of player you draft for a team that has so many needs.

jd1020 10-20-2011 09:08 AM

If Battle can continue doing what he did against the Colts then you can start praising him. He had his first good game in 4 years and people are washing his balls like he's been doing it week after week.

This is going to be Dexter's breakout game. I predict it.

Now whos fault is that? McCluster or the coaches?

So..... I happened to meet Dexter McCluster the other night. At the Flea Market in Westport of all places.

I told him to kick some Raider ass. I couldn't bring myself to say anything negative to him in person... even though I was thinking it...

I would have walked up to him, handed him the finely detailed letter explaining why he sucks that I carry around with me at all times (just in case I run into him), and walked off.

No, unfortunately his "breakout game" came the day he was drafted by us in ROUND 2...:shake:
