I wouldn't count on it, but here is a thread of that discussion (didn't bump it because of controversy over thread should even be here) http://chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=249576

"You don't practice, you don't play" has been the MO under Haley.

I hate he's not out there week 1 but it's nice that we doubled down and landed some depth at WR this year.

LEGIT depth...

He picked them to cover, never said they would win.

He picked them to win too, in his roundtable picks.

You should have kept listening.

Key to this game is whether Matt Cassel and the WR's can generate points against the Bills' formidable defense.

Look for Breaston to start with Bowe. When the Chiefs go to 3 WR's look for Breaston to man the slot with Bowe and Urban split wide.

They'll use Colbert, but I wouldn't expect to see him more than a few snaps since Colbert is listed 3rd string behind Copper and all other WR's.

Look for the Chiefs to bring everything on defense. If they can get to Fitzpatrick, they'll win this game handily. They'll play a lot of nickel D and blitz from the middle using ILB & DB's. RC will bring some new wrinkles in that defense.

Kansas City RB Jamaal Charles has some special gloves and cleats made for him for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. As you know, Sunday is the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Charles’ gloves and cleats were made by Reebok. I don’t know if other players will be sporting anything like this but those are really, really cool.

If other players are going to be sporting special memorabilia, the NFL will likely auction off the goods with the proceeds going to a 9/11 charity. The league does a similar exercise in October for breast cancer awareness.

I’d certainly put down a few bucks to get Jamaal’s gloves, wouldn’t you? Doubt I’d be able to afford them though.

Gotta love the NFL. Reebok sends these sweet 9/11 Gloves/Cleats arrowheadaddict.com/2011/09/08/jam… The players are told they'll be fined if they wear them

Very cool,

Are they going to help him hold onto the ball?

Run to the outside with Charles and bring Dex in and put him in motion to have a LB cover him. Sort of like having Hawk try to keep up with Sproales last night. See if Kelsay can keep up with Dex on pass patterns. If they bring a safety up to help go long to the WR on that side.

You haven't been paying attention to what they've done to their defense this off-season, huh?

I have no problem with you. Compare the 2 teams rosters and you will see that the teams are not evenly matched despite the close game last year. The Chiefs have far more talent than the Bills.

KC loses this game and it's a huuuuge disappointment.

...and still the Chiefs ran wild on defenses with more talent at home last year.
