I just had clients in my reception area talking about this. I probably shouldn't have, but I spoke up. I tried to do so in a way that didn't come across as me correcting them. I just explained my version of things from being there and how I thought maybe the media was making a bigger deal than needed. One person asked about the player interviewed. I told him I sit in the lower bowl, but that maybe things seem louder when you're on the field.

Winston is so full of shoit!
Being a Chiefs fan has taken years of my life **** head.
This organization has us all so mind-****ed...who's fault is that?
C'mon this used to be the best fan base in the NFL. Clark, and whats his freaking name Pioli have wrecked it by taking pieces of us every game

First, it was, "Your choice to be a fan."

Then, it was, #getaclue.

Now, it's, "Chiefs fans are bloodthirsty, fly-over-state fools and neanderthals."

It's time for the fan abuse to end. Along with Pioli's tenure.

The game-plan says it all. The fans' perception of Cassel is exactly what the coaching staff thinks of Cassel, too: He can't play. How are fans supposed to voice their displeasure? We have a GM who has forced Cassel on two head coaches. Enough is enough.

I feel sorry for Cassel. I still support him and want him to do well. I don't think it will be in KC. I just hate treating a decent person like garbage. Grbac and Bono were douches and I had no problem with the vitriol directed towards them. But by all accounts Cassel is a good guy.

In my opinion, as long as he has the support of his teammates and the respect of that locker room then the fans can just eat shit. You hear whispers of doubt but I think Winston and Charles standing up for him proves that he has support in that locker room and if anything the fans actions are going to cause them rally around him. You want your players to be stand up guys and defend their teammates.

Maybe they needed an 'us against them' attitude in that locker room. Unfortunately, the them might be us.

Jaws on ESPN says that "65 to 70 thousand fans cheered when Cassel went down"

the Talking Can 10-08-2012 08:15 AM

is it really too much to ask for someone in the media to simply look at the tape?

the Talking Can 10-08-2012 08:15 AM

chiefs fans everywhere would cheer memyselfi's death

Ummm. No. The elephant in the room is that CASSEL CAN'T PLAY.

I love how ESPN trying to paint a picture that when Casshole went down, 65 to 70,000 people raised as one to their feet and cheered wildly that the quarterback was knocked out on the field. Give me a ****ing break

How about somebody on that team stick up for their fanbase, who is being dragged through the mud in the national media so the talking heads can have something to report on besides Tim Tebow.

Apparently so.

70 thousand blood-thirsty, clod-hopping zombies out for death makes a good story, I guess.

Jaws said we were disgusting. And look at what we are teaching the children that were at the game

First of all, there MAY have been 60K fans there, but even that might have been a stretch. Secondly, the only thing people were thirsty for was a victory at home (which seems to be as elusive as spotting Sasquatch these days). And lastly, **** YOU ERIC WINSTON!
