It shouldn't hurt a bit. Without Zobrist we would not be World Champs. It was a fantastic trade no matter what Manea does or does not become.

does wil meyers really have 5 home runs in less than 25 plate appearances?

holy shit

Another fantastic trade by Dayton. I don't care about ex-Royals. I'll take back to back World Series over prospects every time.

Exactly. Imagine how the As feel for going all out a couple seasons ago and lost the first game. Now they have to watch Addison Russell succeed in Chicago.

maybe some other guy on some other job, but not former Royal prospect and current Padre, Wil Myers. He has 5 in 89 AB's and 2 over his past 27

Billy Beane made stupid trades that destroyed his team. We gave up Wil Meyers and Sean Manea. Beane gave up Yoenis Cespedes and Josh Donaldson.

Before he traded Cespedes the A's had the best record in baseball. After the trade they sucked and barely made the wildcard. And you know what Donaldson has done in Toronto.

Yup. DM knows what he's doing. You're in good hands.

Beane is a ****ing idiot on the other hand.

The batting order needs adjusted ASAP.

suzzer99 04-28-2016 09:25 AM

I was worrying about what to do with Esky when Mondesi is ready. Not worried about that anymore. At least Modesi will accept batting 8th or 9th w/o going into a funk.

We should move him down the order now. If he starts making errors like he did last year when we moved him down - just trade him or bench him.

But otoh he was pretty awesome in the post-season.

One of the reasons Escobar is a tough fit in the lead off spot is that he really only has one way to get on base - with a hit. When he slumps, it's a big zero.

Ideally, Mondesi forces his way to the majors no later than midseason 2017, so the Royals are comfortable/confident in letting Escobar walk.

I'd love to see Mondesi force his way into the 2B spot by August/September. He's off to a promising start at AA - average is low but has showed better plate discipline, walking at around a 10 percent clip, and good pop.

If he can force a promotion, I think it's a big upgrade defensively. His arm and range should be huge upgrades on Infante.

Dee Gordon just got busted for PEDs, 80 games. There's a surprise.
