Ok I'll retract my comment here: Even Ned couldn't possibly bypass Ventura in a wild card game. It's not possible. He couldn't possibly justify any other decision to his team. They'd revolt if Ventura wasn't the choice. He's a freak.

I don't know. Duffy has been dominant this year too. I would not revolt if Duffy was on the mound in a Wild Card game.

I was referring to this season (and our lack of tradable talent to bring in a piece to help them this season), but your point is still valid.

He seems to unstable. I'd worry about him imploding in a big game where Ventura seems like the higher floor in a big game.

Maybe. Just a lot of factors to consider including who you are playing, who the other team is throwing, where the game is at, the weather conditions... Etc I doubt you want Vargas in LA or Baltimore.

The Royals have more than enough talent to make a smaller move... not David Price or Jeff Samardzija, maybe, but a RF bat who can help? definitely.

Reason the game is on MLB.tv is because FOX has a national window that allows them the right to be the only broadcast in that time slot.
