So I am feeling bad for blaming the writers for this debacle. Turns out their hands were pretty tied by the network:

That's stupid of them. Instead of kill him, they pretty much pissed off every fan they had left.

The show was pretty shitty over the last few seasons. I'm kind of glad it is out of its misery now.

yeah, the only decent fan endings i read had Dexter dying.


the only one that would come close to what SHO exec's wanted would be Dexter dying but becoming the "Harry" for his protege.

Also from that article, it makes it sound like SHO execs have their hand in every show on their network, crippling the creative process. It makes me less likely to jump into a Showtime series. *cough* ray donovan *cough*

Masters of Sex has been amazing so far.

They still get the blame. You could have done a helluva lot more than kill him or make him a lumberjack.

I wondered why this got bumped. But yeah, I agree. Complete waste of the time I spent invested in the ****ing show. To the writers, May a swarm of gay chiggers open a disco on your grandfather.

Damnit, i'm also mad I got reminded of this. Dexter had a chance to go down as my favorite show ever. But after the ending it's pushing top 5. Absolutely loved it until that point
