Petro said earlier in his show he heard or was guessing that the GM and HC will have equal power and that Clark will no longer have a head guy like Carl\Pioli.

I am curious if that is what Mitch is referencing

Fire Mitch.

Dayze 12-31-2012 01:01 PM

someone should inform Mitch that a rebuild no longer takes 5 years; 2 years tops.

the Talking Can 12-31-2012 01:01 PM

mitch talking about clark like he was patton

apparently, a 'paradigm shift' is coming....but still no discussion of pioli

petro never asks the most pertinent question

He was getting a little testy towards the end of the season

How much more evaluation does Clark need to do?

The evidence is clear.

The Chiefs record under Fat Scott is 23-42.

He's had the opportunity to hire two HC's in four seasons... BOTH failures.

He's had the opportunity to acquire the QB of his choice... EPIC failure.

He's had 4 drafts that have been mediocre.

What else needs to be evaluated?

For all we know the decision has already been made and it is a matter of technicalities or legalities holding up the actual announcement. You are jumping off the bridge with out a clear cut reason to yet.

Christ, I hope not.

Those types of arrangements never work.

Someone ultimately has to be accountable.

HC: I want this player.

GM: I want this player.

Now what?

ROFL

Mitch's job isn't at risk anymore than it was the day Peterson left.

Mitch is just Team Captain of the Superfans. Biggest homer ever.

Bowser 12-31-2012 01:03 PM

Petro has been coming down hard on Pioli all day. You'd think that if Pioli were definitively staying with this team, that someone would be sent down to Petro to tell him to kindly shut the **** up with the Pioli bashing.

I think Petro knows more than what he is telling.

I have no problem with giving your people what they say they need if the people can put together a good enough argument for it. Scott had the right argument to sell his philosophy. Sadly he has the wrong philosophy. That takes time to prove. Time has passed and it has been proven. Now we wait and see Clark's next decision.

I agree but my point is that is not to excuse Clark. He signed off on now 3 head coaches hirings and firings and 1 huge QB trade.

The HC is making the calls.

Obviously you don't understand how quickly things work in this process of searching for and hiring new HC's and GM's.

Teams that have fired their GM's today are already starting to interview potential GM candidates.

OnTheWarpath15 12-31-2012 01:04 PM

Firing the HC the day after the season ends has never been done in the history of the franchise?

WTF is Mitch talking about?
