Doubt he'd do it, since he would know he's selling low, but it's definitely something that would be wise for the team to attempt.

Hosmer's agent is Scott Boras. No way he will fall for that tactic. Heck, Boras is always after the big contract, and has enough clients that he can mine for them.

No way... Hosmer is a singles and doubles hitter, he is a dime a dozen MLB First baseman.
