No HC, no running game, horrible OL, average weapons outside of Reggie Wayne, bad defense to back him up.

Geno Smith has had two bad games this year. Once against KState and once against TCU. I don't count Texas Tech.

Andrew Luck had a bad game today. He did. This Colts team should have been blown out by half of the teams in the NFL today. They collectively had a shit game.

They got lucky and had their rapeshittiest game of the year against the Chiefs at the height of Brady Quinn's ability to suck. They ended up winning.

That doesn't mean Andrew Luck didn't have a bad game. And guess what? Andrew Luck will continue to have bad games in the NFL. The truly great ones still have bad ones. Luck is not immune.

This is some stupid shit going on right now in this thread with Andrew Luck. Yes, he had a poor game today. He's a damn rookie, he's going to have them. It's still pretty ****ing obvious that he's going to be an elite QB in this league.

When Geno has days next season like Luck had today, you guys had better assail him for it. Otherwise, correct course now. Be reasonable. Because Geno will have poor games next season for the Chiefs. All rookies do.

Another plus for Geno.

He comes out of the Big East to the Big 12 and has to step up his game. Defenses are keying...faster guys, bigger guys, etc.

He's almost done his NFL rookie transition this past season. He steps into the NFL and has a legit offensive line and a good defense and a world class running game to support him.

Geno walks into the Chiefs thinking he's hit the lottery after going for 70% completion, 40 TDs against 6 Ints without an offensive line, running game or defense to support him.

Personally, I think, that if the Chiefs actually draft Geno, that he's immediately in a better rookie situation than what Luck or Griffin had.

Luck has his finest moments in the clutch as far as this season.

Incidentally, Geno is pretty clutch... :)

Yes they do.

Actually, off the top of my head, only Dan Marino and Russell Wilson have had rookie years like they are having.

They are the exception to the norm.

Totally. He's getting a solid pass/run OL, a elite RB to lean on, and a elite weapon to lean on in Bowe (ala Wayne). Additionally, you could improve that by draftin Austin/Bailey/Rodgers/Patterson in the 2nd round and give him another target to grow with. Hopefully, Wylie could turn into a reliable slot guy as well.

All rookies have bad games. So do all HOFers.

Brady puts up one or two clunkers per year. So do both Mannings. Brees does as well.

Shit happens. Hell, everybody wants to make the Luck/Elway comparison. Elway had a ton of bad games in his career.

Favre?

Andrew Luck will be a great QB. I don't know if you were directing your post at me or not. But Luck will be a very good QB.

And he'll have shit games like he had today. They won't go away. They will occasionally happen.

I'm emphasizing that because some people think elite QB prospect = perfect QB all the time every time. And that's ****ing ridiculous.

Buckweath 12-24-2012 02:59 AM

Andrew luck was poor today?? If you judge only by the stats maybe but whomever watched the game could see he was good today, not great but definitly good. Why is it so hard to say both Luck and the Chiefs D played well?

I think this depends on a lot of factors. RG3 is in the best possible system he could ever be in in the NFL. He was made for Ratty's system. Plus the fact that Ratty can plug in me or you at RB and get 1,000 yards on the ground is a huge plus.

If we get a coach like Chip Kelly, then Geno would be completely spoiled (assuming we keep Albert and Bowe).

I'd really love to see Chip or Shannahan be Geno's coach more than anyone else. I think they know exactly how to use him.

RunKC 12-24-2012 03:08 AM

I hope Geno accepts his Senior Bowl invite. Seeing Tyler Wilson and Geno Smith at practice and in the game the entire week, with an NFL coaching staff, will really tell a lot about them.

The next few months are going to be good times.

Next week-Pioli fired
Mid January-New GM hired
Mid to late January-Senior Bowl practices/game
New HC by end of January/very early February
Mid February-Combine
Early March-Free Agency
Late April-Draft

Damn this is gonna be fun.

That's why he only put up one offensive TD against us?

BUT IT WAS IN TEH 4TH QUARTER!

Scoring all your shit in the end game doesn't always make you great. At some point you have to play teams other than the Chiefs. That's when the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters actually do mean something.

Has any Chiefs fan ever tweeted Geno about the Chiefs?

Charles will be spoiled like an only child daughter if Kelly is hired.
