The wait is killing me.
In the meantime, at least there is some good news. Reggie Mitchell is staying on the coaching staff. http://cjonline.com/sports/2011-12-0...f#.Tt93hvIlpBl |
Mike Stoops is joining his brother in Norman. I would guess that he would be the DC. That would mean Venables is out. KU's new coach?

He's been the DC for a team that's won a NC and has played in two others. I guess I don't see how he's so far below the other candidates that have been rumored. |

Venables to KU would be amazing, but I'd think he'd be looking for something better than KU. |
some guy posted a tweet that in his OPINION Stoops was headed back to OU. Nothing definitive at all....don't get ahead of yourselves.

That said, I think he'd consider the job. His stock has slipped a bit the last few years, so I don't think he would be in a position to consider himself above the job. KU did pretty well the last time they hired an hot-tempered assistant from OU. I think it makes enough sense for both sides to warrant discussion. |

I'd love Venables, but at this point it is hard for me to speculate about anything going on, it's like full-on CIA shit going on in there. And maybe Venables wants to stay a coordinator. |
