Cleanses are good, I'm just not of the mind that you have to stop eating to cleanse. If it works for you, then that's great. And all you have to do to start eating healthy is just do it.

It's not just a cleanse. The amount of nutrients you get from juicing raw vegetables is pretty substantial.

Diet is more important than working out for weight loss.

You burn 1 pound of fat per 3500 calories burned.

Think about how much exercise that is.

Adjust your diet. A low impact workout isn't going to do much for you IMO.

Yeah, that definitely did it for the first 35-40 lbs. Now I'm doing 1 meal a day and don't dig on the fatty fried crap.
Trying to rid myself of the last 15 is a bitch.

I get the same nutrients from eating a well balanced diet. ;)

One meal a day? Could be that your body has gone into starvation mode, so it's storing everything you're eating. Several small meals per day. It also helps your metabolism.

As for the exercise, with your physical conditions, I would as your doctor or physical therapist for advice, and not Clay.

LMAO

No, because starvation mode is a myth.

If you're only eating one meal a day and not snacking, keep doing it. Don't know why the fat wouldn't come off. You're probably burning at least 1,000 calories a day. That'd be 2 pounds a week.

Money's an issue, Luv. I was asking to see if anyone had luck with like a particular routine or maybe a piece of equipment.
I was thinking about an elliptical machine or similar.

Missed this post. Elliptical is an excellent low impact machine. They can be pretty pricey though.

It never ends with you, does it?

Well, if you post bullshit, I'm gonna respond.

Starvation mode is total bullshit.

Why do you think fasting works for people on this very board, like Silock, myself and NewChief?

Our bodies didn't go into "Starvation mode" LMAO

Did you ask him how long he's been doing one meal per day?

They're not good for burning fat.

Low impact workouts are shitty for burning fat.

You want to burn fat, do something intense like intervals.

But he has bad knees, so that's not gonna work.

Which is why he needs to get advice from a professional. Are you a professional......anything?

He doesn't need professional advice. This is common sense. Losing weight is 80 percent diet.

Besides, he posted in this thread looking for answers, so I'm going to answer to the best of my ability.

I think I'm going to do this juice fast once a year. Next year I'm going to try for 3 weeks.
