Geno is going to be drafted #1 to us, paid like Kyle Orton, and be as pissed off at everyone else for doubting him as Tom Brady was when drafted. ****ing. Awesome.

This is the Geno account that retweeted: https://twitter.com/GenoSmith_12

Seems to be retweeting lots of doubters.

Barkley has 80,000 followers. This account of Geno's has 4,000. Doesn't seem legit to me.

This Geno account is having a conversation with Aaron Murray so I am assuming its the real one.

The god tweets make me think it's real. I might email their PR dpt this week and see if it is.

Look at the depth and speed of his drop back. Lovely. Excellent footwork during the dropback. Nice find.

I think I literally felt my dick move watching that GIF. Less than a week left.

True but that account hasn't posted since July, if I read it correctly.

:hmmm: Good point. I still think that the real Aaron Murray responding to him points to it being real. Maybe he stopped when the season started. IDK.

I don't either.

But god ****ing dammit, I'll get to the bottom of this. Their PR dpt is going to have an email dated at 2 30 AM on Christmas ****ing day asking the verification on Geno's twitter.

Okay, maybe 3AM

The fact is, the majority of coverages Geno will see are going to be similar to the ones seen in college (Cover 1, C3, C2, Tampa 2 (rarer in college), Quarters, Cover 0 blitzes (pro styles blitzes).

The coverages that I can currently think of that he hasn't seen a lot of and won't even at the Senior Bowl is C3 fire-zone concepts (rushing 5 and dropping 6, exceptionally creative at the pro level) especially out of base fronts, c0 blitzes, C6, and most importantly, the speed of the pro game.

For example to the last point, in college against C2, you typically have quite a large gap on 9s(fly/go routes) on the edge due to the corner dropping and the safety either being slow or slow to react (the larger hashes make a difference as well). WHile that window is typically there in college, it is much smaller (safety quicker to close and corner usually being able to get a good jam and force an inside release as well as being able to stick with to a deeper depth due to diffent philosophies taught at the pro game vs. college).

To me, the speed of the game is a much more difficult aspect Geno or any competent drafted QB will have to learn than different coverages.

Me gusta.

Not only that, but after 2 consecutive rookie QB's broke the rookie single season passing record. Not only will he come in with something to prove, but a target to aim for.
