I just checked meme's threads. She only has 23 over 100 and most are in the DC forum. Still only half of what I have. I don't think there is much need to check Big Daddy's count but I will tomorrow. My point wasn't to prove how great I am but rather to prove that the people that are supporting the Word Association game are not producers in the Lounge. Quite the contrary, they are the fringe guys that chime in once in awhile. The best one I've found so far is Bunny turd. He has started 88 threads and a whopping one of them achieved 100 posts. That thread caters to people that have done nearly nothing for this site. Yet the rest of us have to put up with it daily for EIGHT fuckING MONTHS. Can't you see where I am coming from? Move the damn thing to the Games Forum at the very least. Even the Girly thread got moved and this POS can't get that started.

Really Skip this is a pretty irrelvant set of data given that everything prior to the last year has been nuked except for the limited data in the Archives that end sometime in 2001.

I almost guarantee that if the entire data set were available D.enise and Big Daddy would be huge leaders. Each of them for some reason have a history of generating a ton of responses and both start a lot of threads. On the other hand other folks like myself, Pastormikh, go bo etc don't start threads all that often. When the stats of percentage of the threads per post was still part of the database I had the second least behind only Rausch who rarely if ever starts a thread.

Iowanian who is definitely a great contributor on this BB has only 28 threads left in the database that he has started of which only 6 have went over 100 posts. Rausch has only 1 thread left with over 100 posts on it.

Technically, you Jim have only produced 151 theads - and 2/3 of those have come in the last year. I seem to remember you bragging when I first came around that you had started less than 40 threads. Interestingly enough, until last month, you only contributed 11 threads over 100 posts. I'd say that you have added quite a bit to the quality of the Planet.

I did some other looking too, Phil has only produced 16 threads that went over 100 replies. AustinChief has only produced 1.


I'm thinking that the litmus test of threads started that went over 100 replies isn't a very good indicator of who has contributed more to the Planet.

Though I will say that D.enise, Skip and Big Daddy have created some interesting concepts for threads over the years, as have many, many other posters. Rausch who rarely creates a thread is IMO one of the more interesting personalities on the BB. To denigrate his, yours or anyone elses contribution by this measurement is actually pretty obtuse.

Jim, you are missing the point. We are talking about the last EIGHT fuckING MONTHS they have been torturing the rest of us with that ignorant thread. I am saying that the people supporting it are not contributing much to the board's content during that period. I think it takes people like me who put out lots of good threads to keep the board going. And I also think that is a direct reflection of how good my posts are within each thread. I can't see any other way to judge that. Gobo, et al, gave up quickly trying to defend that POS. Why they fight so hard to keep it on the front page is beyond me. Why not just move it to another forum like they did the Girly thread.
