People forget that 8 year stretch before Priest where not having a HB worth a $3it was nearly impossible to win with. Watching the Pats, Giants, and Cards you start to undervalue the position.

No it isn't. You can make an argument either way, which means it isn't a "common sense" no-brainer. He's a 26 year old second-year starter who we already know can play in this league and whom we just gave up a second rounder to get. At this point he has no "leash".
