Bwahahahahah! A team that refuses to sit high priced flops Rios, Infante and Guthrie is only "about winning"

Don't underestimate the inspirational power of Milt Wilcox.

Well that's a bold move. I think this has as much to do with maturity as anything. I think they're trying to send him a message. It's been building for months. If you just listen to what announcers and people around the organization say, it seems he has some learning to do. It started with all the drama the first couple weeks and never got right.

The other thing is... if this team wins a title with Volquez and Young as the top two pitchers, you should erect the statue of Dayton by November.

That won't be until 2022, if then.

If we got a Greinke haul for Ventura down the road, I think folks would be ok with that.

You're not going to have to worry about erection if this team wins a title.

In other news, Walt Jocketty is sitting in his office rubbing his hands together like an evil dictator in a cartoon.

As of now, we are built exactly like the teams we shredded last October. Still convinced that we need to pick up a #1-2 before making our run.

Funny that there will be no Yordano Ventura on Yordano Ventura bobblehead day.

One year they gave away John Buck T-shirts. Buck was hitting .102 at the time.

There's been talk about how the rest of the Phil's front office are aware that he's been demanding rediculous trades for his guys. To the point that at least 2 different guys high up in the organization have been working the back channels with teams interested because their worried that teams will drop them completely and work out a trade elsewhere.

Your team sucks, your coach bails, and now this...
What a mess of an organization!

Rios and Infante have little to no importance on this team other than doing what they can. Guthrie started out terrible, but he's been decent lately. Your post seems to indicate that the Royals are pretty bad, is this actually the case?

Untrue. They don't have near the power that the Angels and Orioles had then.

Our starting pitching is worse, but overall, I'd say our offense could keep up with them, even if it's not based on hitting for power.

You mean Ruben Amaro?
