In the last 4 days they had to put a "power" behind the applicable number. |

Not ideal that they put themselves into this position and it defintely hampered getting the best possible reward in a trade, but beyond that there's not a lot that can be done now. |

And I'm sure there were a lot of teams that didn't want to trade for him because they knew that he wouldn't sign with him after the two years. |
Even Walter from Walterfootball.com, who has historically hated on the Chiefs in the past, doesn't thing it's a horrible trade for us.

If he's able to grab a couple of key players or use one of those picks to acquire a key player, it'll be judged favorably. If it results in a Javier Arenas type player, it'll be judged as a failure. Time will tell. |

Did we win every game that Peters played in? No we didn't. The best shutdown corner can only cover half the field at best. What did teams do when they played the Chiefs? They threw away from Peters. I'd much rather have a budding superstar like Mahomes than a ticking time bomb like Peters. It sucks that we had to let a talented player like Peters go but sometimes you have to face reality and do what's best for the whole team. Let's see what they do in free agency and the draft and then reevaluate our status going into the upcoming season.

I hate losing the player, but I can also recognize that’s it’s probably the right move for both parties. |
I'm still trying to find a way to be upset, but I can't. His talent might be missed, his antics won't be.
I hope he decides to reflect and fix the antics part of life. If he does, he'll be fine. I hope the Chiefs realize that they can't suck after this, and old man Sutton better overachieve, or they're screwed. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk |
