Two losses on the road by a combined 6pts to teams with a combined record of 17-4.

NJChiefsFan 11-19-2018 11:06 PM

40 points against the Pats. Loss.
51 points against the Rams. Loss.

That's pretty special.

Would have been nice to win, but it hardly changes this team's outlook this season. Win the remaining 5, get HFA and play them again. Mahomes isn't going to turn the ball over like that again.

FAX 11-19-2018 11:09 PM

They never should have allowed Cam to single up on that big Ramb dude.

It took them waaaay too long to give him some help on that. Big no-no on the OC (and Reid) to let that happen.

Hell of a game, though.

We have nothing - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING - to be ashamed of or worried about. Objectively speaking, we were the better team on the field. Had several opportunities and didn't get the bounce (or the catch) we needed. I felt the refs had an agenda in the 1st quarter and that slowed our start (to a halt, basically).

I love this team, though. Great game and the victory should have been ours. We'll see them again in the Super Bowl.

FAX

Game was an easy win if the refs dont spot LA two TD's....it's not even close. But the NFL is entertainment and not a sports league. The NFL wants a fan base in LA. No way KC does anything against an LA franchise. They dont give a shit a about some flyover bumpkins.

Imon Yourside 11-19-2018 11:11 PM

Andy needs to clean up the fundamentals and teach Pat how to run the 2 minutes offense. The 2nd to last drive was the costly one, no reason to panic on that drive and make the deep throw he made. Mahomes could have ran for 20 yards on that 1st pick.

Goff missed a lot of throws that Brady and Ben won't miss in the playoffs.
Refs sucked.

Twice this year we had the lead with less than two minutes.

Twice this year the defense let the opponent walk down the field with no resistance at all.

Fire Bob Sutton at the end of last year and this team is 11-0.

Refs in the 1st half were a joke. Scandrick's dropped INT was the ballgame. Peters would have caught that. Hated to see Peters get an INT. Too much pressure on Mahomes tonight.

jjjayb 11-19-2018 11:14 PM

Horrible ending to the game. But we're still in the lead in the division and the AFC. We get a week off to rest, then we can quietly go about securing home field advantage through the playoffs while the media sucks off the Saints and the Rams. I'm good with that.

I wouldn't say fluke. Holding on to the ball is inviting getting hit in the arm. 3 times he invited turnovers by holding on to the ball. At least twice on first down.

Also not sure where that ball would have ended up if not tipped. With his arm who knows what is possible but it sure looked like he was throwing into a lot of trouble no matter what the release was like.

So much THIS! Pains me to say but he needed to be Brady on that drive and went for it all instead. Good learning experience though. Especially like how the clock started working for him and he tucked the ball away under pressure. Nice to see. Minus the shoddy line and mistakes we got this shit next time!!

Really hard to believe that David Amerson and Scandrick were our absolute best options for starting corner. Especially Amerson at the beginning of the year. I still think we could have drafted a solid corner.

Red Dawg 11-19-2018 11:20 PM

Mahomes threw a pick six and fumbled twice. Both were tds. If he doesnt fumble i think we win. He did more than most could do but tough to overcome a secondary as bad as ours. I mean they are really really bad. Not SB level. Pitt will take us out on the playoffs.

Even with our defense the Chiefs are still capable of winning it all. The offensive firepower is too much for most teams, but TBH they are also capable of going one and done due to this defense.

It sucks to lose in prime time, I get it. But this team absolutely is a Super Bowl contender. Especially considering they're likely to have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. The "flawed" roster is giving up a ton less points at home.

I don’t care whether we blame the defense or not. Bottom line is, I hate most of our secondary. We did pretty well against Gurley and we put some decent pressure on Goff. But for the love of God, I hate Sorensen, Parker, and Murray! They are absolutely horrible! And Scandrick has been okay sometimes, but tonight he showed his flaws big time.

Rams were basically allowed to do anything and everything, while the Chiefs were flagged for every ticky tack thing imagineable.

This defense cannot handle anything but very bad offenses. Sutton's defense almost always shit the bed against quality qb's. (Yes, we beat Brady a couple of times and Manning once, but overall, Sutton's defense shit the bed against quality offenses and playoff teams.)

He was so great that his defensive coordinator didn't trust him to cover their top weapon and instead gave that duty to Sam Shields. Chiefs still scored 51.

Why the **** was Parker on the field and not Lucas? Sutton needs to let the young guys play.

There is no reason for Parker to be on the field as much as he is.

Sutton refuses to simplify his scheme and change with today's nfl.

I hope Pat learns soon to get rid of the ball in the NFL. Nothing good happen when you hold it to long. Sometimes in his drops he doesnt get enough depth then holds it one second to long.
