Two losses on the road by a combined 6pts to teams with a combined record of 17-4.
|
40 points against the Pats. Loss.
51 points against the Rams. Loss. That's pretty special. |

Whatever. The Chiefs were far and away the better team. The Los Angeles Refs were a joke.

Scandrick could have ended this game.

How long has the game been over?
First opportunity to post since 1:30 left in the game. Server blows |
In the end this may not end up costing us. Still it's a shame to lose that game.
|
Side note
Did jarred goff's parents ever say his name out loud before giving it to him? It sounds like "jerk off" when tv announcers say it quickly |
Everyone would love Chiefs / Rams SB rematch. If I believed the conspiracy stuff would pity the Saints about now.
|
A loss is a loss. Moving on. We have two weeks before another game.
|
Didn’t Mahomes basically give up 21 points?
He single handily kept us in the game, but he lost it for us too |
**** you Andy Reid. Run the ****ing clock out you ****ing fat ****. **** you Peters, **** you scandrick learn to catch the ball

This defense can suck an entire bag of dicks.
We've lost two games this year scoring 40 and 51 points. |

Would have been nice to win, but it hardly changes this team's outlook this season. Win the remaining 5, get HFA and play them again. Mahomes isn't going to turn the ball over like that again.
|
They never should have allowed Cam to single up on that big Ramb dude.
It took them waaaay too long to give him some help on that. Big no-no on the OC (and Reid) to let that happen. FAX |

Not mad.
Snow job in one half by the refs and Rams got some defensive scores and turnovers. Chiefs beat them more often than not. |

Great learning experience for Mahomes but boy does this feel like a kick in the dick.

they gave us the ball back with 1:49 and got two scores. They did their job. |
Berry comes back after the bye they need to bench Parker. Caught in the wrong position again on the last touchdown of the Rams
|
Andy needs to clean up the fundamentals and teach Pat how to run the 2 minutes offense. The 2nd to last drive was the costly one, no reason to panic on that drive and make the deep throw he made. Mahomes could have ran for 20 yards on that 1st pick.

If only there was an all pro safety on the team available to play.
|
Goff missed a lot of throws that Brady and Ben won't miss in the playoffs.
Refs sucked. Secondary is pathetic. Conley stepped up. DL stepped up. Bad final drive by everyone. |

I just hope we’re healthy coming out of the game. A win would have been nice, but not needed. Good health will get us HFA.

It was actually much closer than it should have been. Give Cam some dang help with that big Ramb guy earlier in the game and it's a different outcome. I look forward to seeing these guys in the Super Bowl. FAX |

Twice this year we had the lead with less than two minutes.
Twice this year the defense let the opponent walk down the field with no resistance at all. Fire Bob Sutton at the end of last year and this team is 11-0. |

Refs in the 1st half were a joke. Scandrick's dropped INT was the ballgame. Peters would have caught that. Hated to see Peters get an INT. Too much pressure on Mahomes tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He made some mistakes tonight.. It's his 12th game as a pro. He'll get it cleaned up and Reid will make sure he does |
Realistically I don't think we will win a SB this year. Team has tons of potential but it's not as ready as we thought.
|
Horrible ending to the game. But we're still in the lead in the division and the AFC. We get a week off to rest, then we can quietly go about securing home field advantage through the playoffs while the media sucks off the Saints and the Rams. I'm good with that.

I reaaaaaaally hate to say it but Mahomes lived up to Brett Favre comparisons. The Chiefs D didn't give up those 3 TD's Mahomes turned over that added to the score.

Mahomes was just so bad with that second to last pick. Just step up and run that and it’s an easy first down.

And, probably most importantly, we're as healthy as we've been in a long time this far into the season. |

Chiefs got 14 off Goff turnovers difference in the game |
that wore me out

Also not sure where that ball would have ended up if not tipped. With his arm who knows what is possible but it sure looked like he was throwing into a lot of trouble no matter what the release was like. |

I have to be up in 3 hours to go to work. Thanks for ruining my life, NFL!

Really hard to believe that David Amerson and Scandrick were our absolute best options for starting corner. Especially Amerson at the beginning of the year. I still think we could have drafted a solid corner.
|
Mahomes threw a pick six and fumbled twice. Both were tds. If he doesnt fumble i think we win. He did more than most could do but tough to overcome a secondary as bad as ours. I mean they are really really bad. Not SB level. Pitt will take us out on the playoffs.

Even with our defense the Chiefs are still capable of winning it all. The offensive firepower is too much for most teams, but TBH they are also capable of going one and done due to this defense. |
Sucks but Mahomes cost us the game tonight. He was due for a performance that cost us a game i guess.

Also, I LOLed so hard when Kelce gently pushed him into the ground on one of those catches. |

51 points should be enough to win. QBs are going to make mistakes when you're asking them to score 55 points in one game

It sucks to lose in prime time, I get it. But this team absolutely is a Super Bowl contender. Especially considering they're likely to have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. The "flawed" roster is giving up a ton less points at home. |
I wish Sutton was just good enough.... Our offense can overcome but it will be tougher in January.
|
I don’t care whether we blame the defense or not. Bottom line is, I hate most of our secondary. We did pretty well against Gurley and we put some decent pressure on Goff. But for the love of God, I hate Sorensen, Parker, and Murray! They are absolutely horrible! And Scandrick has been okay sometimes, but tonight he showed his flaws big time.
|
Man, we have to sit on this for 2 weeks......
|
Lets get real if they aren't playing in a hole where the Rams and Chiefs have a different set of rules given to them by the refs that is probably a different game.
Rams were basically allowed to do anything and everything, while the Chiefs were flagged for every ticky tack thing imagineable. |
Quote:
This defense cannot handle anything but very bad offenses. Sutton's defense almost always shit the bed against quality qb's. (Yes, we beat Brady a couple of times and Manning once, but overall, Sutton's defense shit the bed against quality offenses and playoff teams.) |
Mahomes was both the reason we stayed in the game and the reason we lost it. We are the Indianapolis Colts during the Manning years now.

There is no reason for Parker to be on the field as much as he is. Sutton refuses to simplify his scheme and change with today's nfl. He needs to go. |
There were more points scored in that game than the Bills have scored all season.

I hope Pat learns soon to get rid of the ball in the NFL. Nothing good happen when you hold it to long. Sometimes in his drops he doesnt get enough depth then holds it one second to long.
