Gadget player like people said when he was drafted.

Keep in mind that this is coming from someone that agrees with the "gadget player" label for McCluster:

I still would rather see the gadget player as a 3rd back instead of a guy that can't provide more than 7 games of effectiveness.

Usually it is because fans know the earlier guys are in camp and learning their playbook the bigger impact they will make in the season. It is why so many are upset that Houston doesn't have his ass signed and at camp.

Now wonder the Raiders are over the cap. They gave Michael Huff four-years, $32 million. Wow

He'll get a playbook tonight, he'll be in meetings tomorrow and on the practice field probably on Friday.

The most important thing is reps, and he couldn't get them until tomorrow anyway.

Houston's holdout is far different. He could be practicing with the first team defense and getting himself familiar with the NFL game.

Freaking Al Davis won't be outdone by the Jets, Eagles, or Carolina.

I haven't played in 13 years, but I want to see if Al will give me a min. deal.

Matchups. Dex is going to be a return man and on the roster regardless.

I think the main purpose for the two picks in the 2nd that year were both more for special teams contributions. Our ST was awful and both McCluster and Arenas were the leaders in the country for their ST play and speed.

Yea he's worn down the last 2 seasons but will have an even lighter load now maybe he'll be able to hold up the whole year. I see nothing wrong with him stealing Jackie Battles 50 carries.

Battle's never gotten more than 20 carries, FWIW.

I'm confused as to why people are pining for the oldest, least talented RB on the roster to stay here.

mcaj22 08-03-2011 03:29 PM

take care Jackie Bates, Mike Cox, Tim Castille, etc

Oh my bad that was 50 yards ROFL

Because he's atleast the 3rd best back on the roster.

Los Pollos Hermanos 08-03-2011 03:34 PM

A 3rd RB that doesn't play ST isn't worth a whole lot. They should cut Jones.

Titty Meat 08-03-2011 03:35 PM

Why? Theres an extra roster spot this year.

aturnis 08-03-2011 03:40 PM
