Wow. Wow.

Miles 06-21-2015 07:55 PM

This is definitely getting interesting after looking nearly over.

Oosthuizen is -11 his last 45 holes here. That's just ****ing insane.

Yep. Pretty impressive to dig out of shooting a ****ing 77 day 1.

So, he only has to hit a cut 3 wood into the wind from a hilly lie.

For as much as I dislike this course, this Championship has been amazing. And Spieth's 2nd into 18 was just balls!

'Hamas' Jenkins 06-21-2015 08:00 PM

I think he got a little lucky there. I don't think he wanted to cut it that much, but the slope helped him out.

'Hamas' Jenkins 06-21-2015 08:03 PM

Johnson hit that about 365. Jesus Christ.

tk13 06-21-2015 08:03 PM

Dustin Johnson just obliterated that golf ball.

Oh, I get it. It's really no different than my local twice-a-week course that's just decided to no cut about 30% of the course. It saves huge coin, they get lots of ball to resell (LOL!!!), and they get to call it "more challenging."

Like I told the club Pro at Adams Point, "nice course, but don't think 'not mowing' is a cool way to make the course more challenging." That day I never lost any that were in the fairway, but I lost 5 that trickled off the fairway. Just because they had the first cut at 2.5 inches and the 2nd cut at nearly 4 inches doesn't make the course challenging, it just means (to me), the course is too cheap to mow. It's all good, they won't hear me complain again.

With their mindset any farmer in Kansas could randomly put 18 flags around their wheat farm, dig some holes and put some sand in them, mow a little more around the flags, and call the USGA hoping for next year's Open.

Just like mini golf; 2 chances to make putts.

GloryDayz 06-21-2015 08:04 PM

My God he nailed that last drive! JFC, stunning!

Phil Mickelson has a net worth somewhere between $180 and $300 million. I wonder how much he would have paid the golfing gods for that drive at Winged Foot?

kstater 06-21-2015 08:08 PM

Well, heres your chance Dustin

'Hamas' Jenkins 06-21-2015 08:09 PM

Someone asked Fatrick Reed if he'd take -5 after Friday. "No way. These guys are too good, five under has no shot."
