i went to the game. well part of it. it sucked.

the bars and tailgating were fun tho.

Darrian Miller (****) Chooses Kansas

Rivals.com reported Monday night that Blue Springs High running back Darrian Miller, a four-star back who was the Simone Award runner-up in 2009, had orally committed to Kansas.

He'll be enrolling in January and ready for spring practice.

So far as a senior, Miller is averaging more than 200 yards a game and has racked up 1,645 yards and 24 TDs on 200 carries.

Miller will also most likely finish his career as Missouri high school's all time leading rusher.
Yeah, great comeback WS. It does seem odd, though, that such a highly-ranked player couldn't sniff an offer from MU (not unlike KU and KSU's QBs). Other legit teams have pulled their offers. I wonder why that is.

You just had a player arrested for raping another student. I don't think you want to travel down the "MU doesn't recruit those types of players" route.

The kid is the second ranked player in the state (MO). Maybe he just wanted to get out of town, who knows? Just posting something that is a big boost for Turner Gill who seems to not have a friend in the world right now...

It's not a boost for TG; that was the point. I'm not saying that DM did anything that bad. In fact, I would bet that he didn't. I do know, though, that MU didn't even sniff this guy. No other big programs seem to want him either. That seems a bit odd to me.

Oh, and as soon as Washington screwed up, he was gone. Pinkel took a lot of heat from the press et al. but he made the correct decision.

With this weekends commitments KU jumps to #46 in the country for 2011. Work is far from finished but moving in the right direction.
