Let's not get ahead ourselves. Herrera's meltdown in Atlanta came in a tied game. He didn't blow a lead. I don't how you can say we should've won that game. Could've, sure, but Atlanta has a pretty good bullpen, too. So even if Herrera goes 1-2-3 in that inning we have a 2-2 tie, and you can't assume we score that run in the 9th because the Braves might be pitching differently with a tie game instead of a 4-run lead.

We blew a late lead Saturday. We were closer to being 3-1 than 4-0.

Golf buddies today said they heard Royals post-game where the host (or the callers) were saying they were "OK" or actually even happy for Boston that they won yesterday. I found this hard to believe. Is that true? I'd never root for my team to lose any game so this surprised me.

It's ridiculous to say that. That's like saying the Royals should be undefeated this year. Baseball is played on the thinnest of margins. You will lose heart-breakers over the course of the year. It is a part of the game.

That too.

Honestly, as bad as our hitting has been, I'm tickled to be 9-7. I'm surprised we're 9-7.

I like that he isn't shuffling the lineup much besides to obvious Salvy and ok with the bench of Getz. We have to have these young guys smash this debut pitcher and build some confidence.

Can more than double your money by betting the money line for the nightcap.

This team should be at least 11-5 if it weren't for this team's inability to hit "extra base" hits or the long ball.

I mean John ****ing Buck is even tearing the cover off the ball. I'm gonna shit my pants if that guy ends up with over 30 HR's. John ****ing Buck.

Hosmer and Moose are one trick ponies at the plate. If it weren't for their good play in the field I'd almost want to send their asses back down to AAA. Big league pitching has figured them out and they're unable to lock onto a pitch and hit it out of the park.

If they don't figure it out this season, then it's time to find a reaplacement for at least one of them next season.

Detroit had the bases loaded but didn't score any in the top of the 9th. Now going to the bottom of the 9th tied with the angels 3-3....Go angels!

Hey alnorth, can you put some of teh header in a [ spoiler] tag until the game is over? That is one long OP thread now.

Another state trooper national anthem. Not to be insensitive, but I think the bombing just jumped the shark.

Prison Bitch 04-21-2013 04:54 PM

Hate to do this but one of my buds asked if the national media cared this much about the 100 killed in the Hyatt tragedy as the 3 killed in Boston. Obviously both are terrible, just passing along this comment. I don't recall the media back then.

I second this suggestion.

Looking at the batting order, if Butler, Hosmer, and Moustakas were batting anywhere near their potential, we would be 12-4.
