That's exactly right. When your pitching staff gives up 11 ****ing runs, there's not a helluva lot the manager could have done differently to salvage the win.

He can't just pitch HDH every damn inning of every damn game. Fox Sports tried like hell to anoint Finnegan as the 4th member of that group after he recorded a grand total of two outs in game 3 (one of which was a screaming liner to Alex Gordon), but that was asking a helluva lot for a rookie who was playing college ball last summer.

The bigger question is this: Prison Bitch has become the lone voice of reason in several Royals threads lately. What the **** is going on?

Ned calling the D to throw home instead of turn 2 with the bases loaded and one out was incredibly dumb. Screamer at Escobar would have been a sure double play and the score would have remained 4-4. That was such a bad decision.

Not a Yost decision. Escobar made the right play.

Take a deep breath. Remember that the Kansas City Royals are in the ****ing World Series of Major League Basesball. If this doesn't calm you down seek help.

Yeah, "calm" probably isn't the best word to use.

Ned called for Escobar to throw home?

Escobar went to his right. His play home was THE play. Pence was not going to be doubled up as soon as Escobar had to move to the right to field the ball. If the ball would have been to the glove side, moving toward 2B, then you go for the 6-4-3.

Not that it would or should ever be attempted - but I wonder if Dyson has a chance to force Pence at home if he fields that liner on a bounce?

Doubt it. Pence can move.

Well, hell maybe. I guess he wouldn't tag on a ball that shallow if he was on his feet.

I'm so ****ing confused by that move. Infante was the only player to have an extra base hit off bumgarner.
