Your hate for a guy who's top 10 in the MLB for offensive RFers and far and away the best defender confuses me.

Actually watch him play every day and you will understand. Having this clown in the cleanup spot was a joke. But hey cannon arm!

Is it Heywards fault that the Cardinals couldn't field a roster that had a better clean up hitter? He's a #2 hitter.

If he's your 7 guy that's cool, but that's not what he wants to be paid as. He can piss off.

Exactly. He's a complimentary player, not a player to build around. His skill set has tremendous value in baseball. Guys who put up 5 WAR yearly go to the HOF. Now, I'm not saying Hayward is a HOF'r but he is going to get $175+ million from someone.

Grienke is going to get $1 million every time he pitches. This is "baseball" economics. Everyone is making money hand over fist. He's "worth" the money because more than one team is willing to pay the money.

Gordon, who is only a COF, is going to a team with Grichuk, Piscotty, Pham, Jay, and Holliday all under contract, with Heyward already having a year in St. Louis under the belt.

That is just BS. Can Gordan play RF?

We have Holliday for 2 more years. He has a no trade clause. We have Piscotty ready to go to take his place.

He is not a fit.

Gordon could easily play RF.

He's an obvious fallback if Heyward signs elsewhere. The better option would still be Upton, IMO, but you can see that the Cards would be essentially looking for Heyward light in Gordon if they can't get Heyward inked.

Chapman to the dodgers. NL central fans rejoice.

Until you realize they now have Jensen and Chapman at the back of that pen.

And dj, I still think a trade for Puig would be the best option for a RFer
