Cannot believe we're letting OSU back in this. WTF?

stonedstooge 03-08-2012 07:40 PM

Nice play by Missouri

Dartgod 03-08-2012 07:41 PM

Gotta make 'em Kimmie.

petegz28 03-08-2012 07:43 PM

Ok, HTF was that not a charge?

Dartgod 03-08-2012 07:43 PM

Was going to post that was a charge, but not so sure now.

Bearcat 03-08-2012 07:43 PM

Wow, that was close... they got within about 8 possessions there for a minute.

Now when I say that everyone says you can do that. I have heard the announcers say that before too. I give up trying to figure it out.

Obviously Texas atleast I would hope so.

Texas has had some injuries, but they played Mizzou tough in Austin.

Whomever Mizzou plays, hopefully the late game will go overtime. :D

stonedstooge 03-08-2012 07:53 PM

w00t

pkane 03-08-2012 07:53 PM

Texas.

ISU would be a more exciting game and probably closer, but that's not what I'm looking for.

Hopefully they beat each other up tonight so they are a little weak tomorrow.

petegz28 03-08-2012 07:54 PM

good game. Felt like we took the last 10 minutes of the game off.

Meh, thanks, but I'll take my chances between finding some at work tomorrow or while wandering around P&L.

O.city 03-08-2012 07:55 PM

ISU is a tough matchup. Texas is banged up right now. I think ISU wins tonight fairly easily.

stonedstooge 03-08-2012 07:55 PM

Baylor looked tough earlier today. Kind of glad they are in the 1 bracket

mnchiefsguy 03-08-2012 07:55 PM

Hopefully tonight has locked down a #2 seed for the Tigers.

I am thinking the same thing, except Texas is desperate for a win to get off the bubble. Teams on the bubble like that are always dangerous.

They were locked with atleast a 2 after the regular season, IMO.

They should. And they're a much tougher match-up than Texas is.

Both games tomorrow night should be very, very fun.

I'm glad I got my tickets for the Championship game. Should shake out to KU v. MU.

Or at least I can hope.

4 or 5 bogus fouls could have put them right back in it

O.city 03-08-2012 07:57 PM

I didn't get to watch it last week because of stupid midterms but didn't ISU give Mu some problems in Columbia?

I know KU struggled with them both times this year, I was glad they ended up being the 3 instead of the 4.

Right...but there was not 4 or 5 extra fouls called so no need to worry. The game played out exactly as it should have.

Don't blame ya, both games should be really good and similar tickets on stubhub are going for about the same price.

If you need someone to go with though... :hmmm:

is there really a mizzou ad on the main page of xbox live?

Saul Good 03-09-2012 08:28 AM

Out of curiosity, did anyone catch the subtle message Haith sent out at the end of the first half with his lineup? (Hint: it had to do with where the game way played).

Were all 5 guys on the floor from the KC area?

I don't remember who was playing, but he's got Denmon, Dixon, Moore, Jones and Sutton.

That's pretty cool. I was watching on a pretty crappy screen at a bar and I was so shocked to see two white guys on the floor in Mizzou uniforms that I didn't even notice who the three regulars were. Good eye.

No, but a 1st round loss to OSU could has sent them to a 3. Granted, it probably would've been the 3 in the St. Louis region with something stupid like Ohio State and Michigan State (afterall, evidently the mid-west is the sole purview of B1G teams or some bullshit).

Winning this game should ensure that even with an L in Texas, we still get our bullshit draw with the 2 seed out west.

We're not serious, right?

I mean c'mon - that game was never even close. Even sitting at 17 with 4 minutes left, it was just a matter of running clock.

That was a mauling - stop being spoiled Tigers fans, we have Friday and Saturday to worry about still. No sense in not getting the starters some extra rest.

Last night in a Big 12 Tournament quarterfinal that was a bucket of confetti away from a Globetrotters vs. Generals exhibition, Missouri dispatched Oklahoma State 88-70. It wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated.

In three games in the Sprint Center this season, the Tigers have outscored Notre Dame, Cal and OSU by an average of almost 29 points. Unless the semifinals are relocated, Missouri should feel confident in tonight's semifinal against Texas and its handful of fans.

Haith reminded the Tigers before the game how well they played here while winning the CBE Classic in November. The Tigers have five players from the Kansas City area — all from the Missouri side of the border — and last night Kim English declared himself an adopted son. "This is Kansas City, Missouri," said Marcus Denmon, one of the natives.

ROFL from RockMNation.com

Even if we lose, I am glad it's Texas rather than ISU. The Longhorns are playing well, and obviously they gave us a lot of trouble in Austin. So if we're not on our Ps and Qs they can beat us. The difference is that beating Texas is an easy, straightforward baseball metaphor. "The 'Horns are gonna give you a fastball to hit. You have to be ready. They're not trying to fool you." On the other hand, Iowa State defies any single metaphor. The Cyclones are a mixed metaphor. They are all Big 12 defensive end Royce White surrounded by a gaggle of guys committed to putting up 35 collective three-point shots. I'm ready to see them play somebody else. I wanna see the "what the bloody hell?" look on the faces of some unsuspecting team when White flies by their power forward then pancakes the help defender (and then airmails the free throw attempt).

Saul Good 03-09-2012 09:20 AM

There is precisely zero chance that was an accident.

FishingRod 03-09-2012 10:46 AM

You guys looked great jumped out to a big lead and then coasted. Nothing wrong with that.

KU wins the Big 12 by 1 overtime point and loses to a team they should really have beaten in the Big 12 tourney. If MU wins this tournament they could steal KU's #1 seed.

I would rather steal their region. Let KU be a #1 in the west, and make Mizzou the #2 in the midwest, so Mizzou can play in St. Louis.

I think that if Mizzou wins the tourney, they will be in St. Louis. Right now they are #2 out west...and winning your conference tourney should help your seeding, so at a minimum it should put them in STL.

Makes tonights game huge though. If Mizzou wins tonight, Sprint will really be rocking tomorrow, as a lot of KU fans will be dumping their tickets I am sure.

LMAO at the KU fans in the KU thread, saying the Conference Tourney doesn't really mean anything, now that they have lost.:shake:

KU lost on purpose cause they were too scared to play MU in the final

Wish Missouri could have played them again. Guess the odds of that aren't very good unless both are in the Final Four
