That is most major championship golf. The difference between a chip in or making a 60 footer vs not is imperceptible and not repeatable. Luck in those small samples flips most majors. It's why Spieth can't compete anymore. He had the single best run of long putting fortune in golf history, and once that went away, his ball striking exposed him.
